THE UNVEILING
October 10th, 2010
Me and Nick were eating. I was in the middle of telling him a story
"And so I told my teacher to go fuck himself" I said
"Rightfully so. He was totally being an ass" Nick said
"I know, like, I'm sorry my Grandmother died and I missed that test we weren't supposed to miss. It's not like chose for it to happen" I said
"And what did he say to you?" Nick asked
"Oh, you should've seen his face. God, he was so mad. I could see the steam coming out of his ears. His face was scrunched up, bright red like a cherry. God, I almost started laughing when he yelled at. 'You are an absolute disgrace! Your parents should be ashamed of your manners! You are never going to get anywhere in life! Get out!'" I mocked my teacher. Nick laughed
"You know, my teacher said the same shit when he found out I was high in class" Nick said
"How many times did you get caught?" I asked
"Too many to cou-" Nick was cut off as Madison walked over
"Alicia didn't come home last night" Madison said as she sat down
"She's a big girl now" Nick said
"Mommy, wow. I'm a big kid now" I said with a grin. Madison did not find me funny
"I don't think she's in the camp" Madison said
"She's probably with Golden Boy" Nick said
"You know, isn't he a little too old for her?" I asked. Nick looked at me and scrunched up his face
"You know, now that you say that. He is much older than her" Nick said
"That's besides the point. It's strange not to see either of them, all the shit that went down" Madison said. I was concerned by Madison's response
"Will either of you go to Jake's?" Madison asked
"No. Leave her be, Mom" Nick said
"I guess it's a no from me, too" I said. Jeremiah walked up. I didn't really like him. He gave me bad vibes. Like racist vibes
"Morning. You, uh, seen your daughter?" Jeremiah asked
"No" Madison said
"Jake's AWOL with some gear and he's not in his quarters. I know your daughter and him are, uh.. courting" Jeremiah said. I cringed
"You can just say they're fucking" I said
"Y/n!" Nick said as he gave me a look as he struggled not to laugh. Jeremiah stared at me surprised
