"Holy shit! That's real nice, Blitz!" Millie smiled wildly with her shining gaped grin as she held your hand and observed your engagement ring.
"Had to get the best for the best," Blitz called from his office, you could hear the smile in his tone, you began to blush and rolled you eyes at the cheesy compliment.
"Of course, sir. Don't give me any credit for helping you in any way, shape, or form," Moxxie crossed his arms and rolled his eyes dramatically as he leaned back against his desk just a few feet away.
"Thank you, Moxxie. I saw the note, I appreciate everything you did to help him out," you whispered with a smile. You expected Moxxie to grin and move on, but instead his mouth produced an even deeper frown.
"Are you kidding me, sir?! I specifically told you that she could NOT see the note! I have no idea how you pulled this off, absolutely none!" Moxxie yelled into Blitz's office.
"The note? You think I needed that fucking bullshit advice?!" Blitz began.
Millie giggled and gently released your hand before jumping up and down with excitement, the sound of Blitz and Moxxie arguing filled the background.
"Soooo, when's the big day?!" She asked.
"Um, well we haven't really decided yet," you admitted.
"That's alright! Let me tell you, Mox and I took a good long while to plan everything out."
"And I wasn't invited," Blitz announced as he entered the room, a smug look on his face as he pushed past Moxxie.
"We didn't know ya yet, sir" Millie gave him a sympathetic pat on the back.
"I've heard your bullshit excuses" Blitz whined as he positioned himself beside you and wrapped his arm around your shoulder blades.
"Where y'all gonna live? What y'all gonna do?" Millie continued to ask in excitement.
"Well, I'm stealing Blitz and we're going to move into my apartment since it's a bit bigger and-" you paused and peered over to see Loona was still in the middle of a phone call in the other room, "we're gonna gift Loona and Tex Blitz's apartment to have as their own."
"Not to Loona and Tex, just to Loona. It's paid off for the rest of the year so...it can be hers until the lease is up and if she wants to re-sign and pay for it she can" Blitz added.
"Are they together?" Moxxie asked as he calmed from the argument.
"No!" Blitz yelled in protest.
You smirked and gave a gentle nod and a small thumbs up. Moxxie and Millie both nodded in unison, understanding your silent message.
"I'm just so happy for y'all, it's gonna be the most beautiful weddin'!" Millie smiled widely.
Blitz gently kissed your forehead in response and you nuzzled in between his collarbone and jaw. Millie continued to watch on with admiration."Come on people, you've got an appointment to get to" Loona's voice suddenly entered the room, her hands held the sprawled open book. She began to read from the pages until a large portal projected onto the wall. Blitz gave you a passionate kiss and gently ran his fingers beneath your chin before he merrily followed Moxxie and Millie through the portal and into the human world.
"So, how's it feel?" Loona smiled as the portal closed.
"Hm?"
"You know, to be getting married to Blitz," she continued.
"Well it's...exciting and unexpected and I just...I mean I can't wait."
"I honestly never thought my dad...well Blitz...would ever be getting married to someone, ever. But I'm glad he is," Loona gave you a calming smile.
You gently squeezed her arm before you made your way over to your desk and let yourself sink into your chair. There was some upkeep that needed done on the files and a couple other odds and ends that you could get done around the office. Loona took her seat at the receptionist desk and began fiddling with her computer, her mouse clicking ever so often. The two of you continued this routine for around twenty minutes when suddenly Loona gasped in horror, then proceeded to slowly ask you a question.
"Hey uh, Y/N...that guy that killed you in the mugging...the one that you uh...fucked up pretty good" she started. Your ears perked up and your eye twitched as the memories of that day began to flood your mind.
"Yeah...?" You asked anxiously.
"He um...was in a coma for a while after that whole scenario and he, well he didn't make it..." she continued. You pushed yourself up from your chair and began walking across the room towards her.
"And that means...?"
"Well...he's dead. And I mean, he killed another human being so it's safe to assume that..."
"He's fucking down here?" you stated. Loona gulped harshly and nodded, a pathetic grin lined her face as she tried not to upset you.
You felt a tenseness in your chest like you had never felt before, a familiarity of panic and the overwhelming fear that your heart was going to burst beneath your ribs. You set your hands on Loona's desk to settle yourself as you breathed deeply through your nose and exhaled through your mouth.
"Y/N...what can I do to help? What do you need?" Loona asked gently as she stood from her chair.
"Revenge."
You scooped up the grimoire from Loona's desk and began frantically tossing through the crinkled pages.
"When did he die?" You asked intensely.
"It says three days ago" Loona responded, her eyes staring at her computer screen.
"Three days, okay three days" you continued to flip until you found the page with the folded down corner. You quickly began to say the phrase that was written in shimmering gold. Instantly the portal re-appeared against the brick wall. Through it you could see a rather surprised Blitz, Moxxie, and Millie. You dropped the book back down onto Loona's desk and walked over toward the portal, your face tense with fear.
"He's here" you claimed as they walked through the portal, blood covering their outfits, Millie still holding a running chainsaw.
"Who?" Blitz asked as he immediately grabbed you by your shoulders and stared into your eyes.
"The mugger, the-the guy who killed me" you tried your best to fight off the tears and horror that began to choke up your voice.
Millie cut the power to the chainsaw and Moxxie helped her set it aside as they listened intently to yours and Blitz's conversation.
"Good! Fuck that bastard!" Millie smiled.
"No, no, no, not good. What if-what if he sees me? Or..or I run into him someday? Or..." you began running through a million scenarios in your mind.
"The chances of that happening are extremely low, the amount of beings in hell continues to climb everyday and even if the two of you were in the same vicinity whose to say that either one of you actually recognizes the other?" Moxxie explained.
"I want him dead. Blitz, do you remember when I first met you and you told me that you wanted me to put a hit out on the guy who killed me and I told you no?" Blitz grinned knowingly, "well, I changed my fucking mind."
