"What?" I asked, dusting myself off.
"What was that?!" He shouted, walking toward me.
"My ability... don't tell me you didn't know what I could do." I looked him dead in his blue eyes. He was silent. "You mean to tell me, you came after me and didn't know what I could do? AMATEUR!"
"I wasn't expecting a literal worm hole. I heard about it, but I didn't think it was real." He explained. We both continued walking back out the alley.
"What do you mean, you didn't think it was real? If anything, yours should be the one that isn't real." I argued back, "I mean you literally got your ability from a god."
He stopped and looked at me, "How did you know that?" I also froze.
"Uh... I have my ways." I said. I flipped my hair over my shoulder and continued walking.
Chuuya followed behind me. "There are very few people who know about that. How did you of all people find that information?" He questioned. I just shrugged and then I could see him putting the dots together. "Oh... oh no. No."
I stayed silent. I knew what he was thinking. I knew he figured out, but he was bound to eventually, whether it came up in conversation or he found out from something else...
We had made our way out of the alley and back onto the mainstreet.
"Don't tell me you were trained by that bandaged bastard." Chuuya muttered.
"No... but he did come hang out with us sometimes." I responded nonchalantly.
"Us!?" Chuuya exclaimed.
"Come on now, Chuuya, I thought you were smarter than this." I giggled at him. We had made it back to his car at this point.
"Oh my god, your mentor was that friend of his, wasn't it?"He asked. I opened the passenger door.
"Bingo!" I smiled at him and got in the car.
"I can't believe this." Chuuya muttered as I closed the door, he came around to the other side and got in. As soon as Chuuya sat down he pulled out his phone and dialed a number.
"What are you doing?" I asked, watching him carefully.
"Calling the boss, to let him know the job is done." Chuuya said, I nodded. It rang a couple of times before it got picked up. "Boss, it's done," A response on the other end for a moment before, "Understood," and then he hung up. "We have to have the report done by tomorrow." He said, putting his phone away and clicking his seatbelt into place.
"Ugh, actual work. Disgusting." I said, crossing my arms.
"God, you even sound like him. Gross." Chuuya said. "Seatbelt." Chuuya put his keys in the ignition again and I put my seatbelt on. He started the car and we were off again. "It makes sense now." He said after a minute.
"What does?" I asked.
"Why I hate you so much." He said, eyes forward focusing on the road.
"Oh shut up." I said, playfully smacking his arm, "You love me."
His face went red a bit, before he got it under control, but I definitely saw that. "Absolutely not." He stated.
I scoffed at him. "Sure." I leaned forward in the seat a bit and put my head to my thighs, trying to stretch out my back, which hurt a little more than usual today. I guess I wasn't used to sleeping on an actual mattress yet. "Chuuya."
"What?"
"I'm hungry." I said, my head still to my thighs.
He sighed. There was a moment of silence before he finally responded, "What do you want?"
