The Reveal (Chapter 23)

"Me, huh? What's so special about me?" you asked Shinra as you stared at him.

"I dunno. But you became the most kind person after something happened. I- uh, remembered  you never talked, until after one day."

"I never talked?"

"Yeah, you used to be so introverted and quiet back then, (Y/N)."

"Oh."

"What is it?"

"Shinra, I can't remember anything from that age, like at all. It's like a blur to me.."

"W-What's happening.. Why is this happening?!"

You slouched on the walls, looking back at the abbreviations.

"P.T.E Area #1"

The abandoned place had an enormous sense of Deja vu, as if something important had happened.

The pain grew worse, until you passed out, watching events unfold in front of you.

You watch yourself being strapped on the operating table when a voice over the comms was heard.

"The Pain Tolerance Experiment is ready."

On the other side of the glass were other scientists ready to gather the results, one particular face was blacked out, as scientists talked to this figure.

"Dr. Giovanni. Shall we begin?"

Dr. Giovanni gives a nod, as the machinery came down with different tools for different torturing methods.

It started off easy with a couple pinches and punches, but as the experiment went on, the pain grew worse, as cuts and slashes were visibly seen on the body.

You saw yourself started to cry as the experiments continued.

The scientists quickly wrote down the results from your expressions, as well as the body scans.

"The subject seems to be crying, Giovanni. Anymore and she might pass out."

"Keep going. If she passes out, inject her with morphine. This experiment is solely based on how other children could handle the procedure based on her actions."

Bruises and blood were slowly leaking from your body, as the experiments were starting to increase the intensity of pain.

The scientists carefully monitored your heart rate and physical exhaustion, injecting morphine whenever you were about to pass out.
