The Return of The Knight King (Chapter 3)

"So this is the place."

A blonde haired man stands in-front of the Special Company 8 Building.

-Inside the place-

You and Shinra stand in-front of Akitaru as he informs you about the upcoming event. Akitaru continues to workout with his heavy dumbbells.

Shinra: So, what are the Rookie Fire Soldier Games?

Akitaru: It's a competition where all the fire force rookies that join this year get to show off their abilities and its coming up pretty soon! You two are going to represent Company 8 alongside out other new recruit that we're expecting later on today!

Shinra: Hang on, there's a new recruit coming in?

Akitaru: Indeed there is.

Y/N: Seems 'bout right. Can't wait to see the new recruit!

Shinra: I have a question Captain.

Akitaru: Hm?

Shinra: Will there be any other fire soldiers besides rookies in this contest?

Akitaru: Of course! Some of us will come and cheer you all on! Any other questions?

You and Shinra shake your head.

Akitaru: Alright, that's all I had to inform you about. You guys can continue to explore around the cathedral if you want. Dismissed!

The both of you leave Akitaru's office as you sit back down at your desk.

Y/N: Sooo, where did you want to go?

Shinra stares into the abyss as you walk with him.

Shinra: Anywhere works.

He stops and looks out the window. You continue to walk not noticing Shinra stopped walking.

There could be someone from another company who knows about that fire. Shinra says to himself.

You stop in your tracks as you stare at the blonde haired boy.

Him. Out of all- Okay, I have to be discrete about this as much as possible.

Y/N: Sooo, I see that you've been finally accepted into a company huh?

???: Well, of course my princess. Nice to see you again.

That wasn't discrete. 

Shinra faces towards your direction to see the man himself. The Knight King.

Gaaah, What did he say again on trying to defuse the situation?!

Arthur: Oh, if it isn't the devil.

Shinra grits his teeth as he angrily stares at Arthur.

Shinra: Hoped I'd never see you again, you DAMNED knight. What are you doing here?!

Arthur: Thought I'd slay some hellspawn.

He poses with his weapon.

Shinra: Still with the big, talking, dumb pose, I'll shove that SWORD RIGHT UP YOUR-

Y/N: Hey, hey, let's all cool down, we're all friends here, okay?

Shinra: Why don't we take this on the roof?!

Arthur: Suits me, it wouldn't be too knightly if a princess was watching.

Oh god damn-

The instantly begin fighting as they move up to the roof.
