As Always, My Best Friend! (Season 1 Epilogue Alt)

(A/N): An Alternate ending to those that see Shinra as a friend!

A powerful kick slams the soccer ball towards the other goal. The soccer ball roared through the air as a trailing flame was following pursuit.

The crowd erupted, the team was about to win with one last score!

Until..

The soccer ball was quickly halted as the goalkeeper catches it.

That goalkeeper, being none other, than you. The crowd stops as they looked with anticipation, waiting for the next move.

The score was 1-to-1.

Your team, against Shinra's.

"This will be the day, Shinra Kusakabe. You will taste your own defeat!" You screamed as you kicked the ball, sending it towards the soldiers that clashed against each other, fighting for the ball.

Shinra leads his soldiers on to the field, as they follow pursuit, defending him from being overtaken.

Meanwhile, your parents were on the bleachers watching you and Shinra playing with the kids on the soccer field.

To your mother, it seemed like an adorable little session was going on as you cheerfully played with the kids and Shinra.

While on the other hand, your father looked at the soccer field as you were defending for your life. Shinra was leading his soldiers to take care of the kingdom ahead.

The kingdoms were falling apart. The battles were long and hard as resources were running out. This was it. The last stretch.

The impenetrable kingdom versus the non-stopping force.

Who would win?

Your father was tearing up as he screamed, "JUST HANG IN THERE A LITTLE LONGER!!!"

Your mother looked over at your father who was crying tears of woeful sorrows.

"Hey, hun."

Amazato looks at Miyazaki with a sorrowful look, before she stands up with her husband, holding his hand.

"(Y/N)!!!! DON'T GIVE UP THE LAST LINE OF DEFENSE!!!!" Miyazaki screamed at the top of her lungs with a fierce energy.

The two screamed with joyful energy cheering your team on.

15 seconds.

Shinra kicks the ball and passes onto one of his soldiers as he is quickly overwhelmed.

10 seconds.

The little soldier continues through the line of defense, kicking and passing on the ball to the other soldier as he gets overwhelmed.

5 seconds.

Another little soldier with the ball quickly kicks it towards the goal, as you readied yourself to grab it.

You quickly dive yourself to grab it.

The ball curves around you, as it lands in the goal.

0 seconds.

The winner goes to, Shinra's team!

Old Man Ju blows his whistle as the crowd erupts into cheer as the game has ended. Your fortress had crumbled down to ashes as you lost.

But miraculously, the little soldiers happily hugged each other as they gave high fives all around.

It was truly a magnificent sight to hold.
