-The Leonin race (who call themselves the Koshach(Ko-shack) which means Honored) are a cat-people that originate from the dessert regions. They are a highly honorable race who are heavily investing in ancestral worship.

Necromancy- Necromancy is not tolerable in the Leonin community. The Leonin worship their ancestors and turn to them for guidance, so to have one who has passed resurrected by any means is a massive offence to the ancestor and a huge dishonor for the family.

-A common name for a young female child is Miska, a young male child is Kia (used similarly to the American use of Boy and Girl or the Scottish use of Lad and Lass)

Leonin Caste System- The Leonin are divided into 3 castes, the Warrior, the Merchant, and the Industrial Castes. Each serve an important role within the community, and while it is rare, it is possible for members of one caste to cross into the other. Leonin are somewhat anti-magic, and thereby do not have a caste or guild for magic-users. However, as resistant as they are to the influences of magic, they accept it in a practical capacity within the Industrial caste.

Leonin Rule- The Leonin are ruled by a traditional King, who is assisted by the 9 Ul-Thranya (also known as the Lords of Industry or the Pride Lords). The Ul-Thranya consist of 3 lords from each of the castes.

The Current Ul-Thranya:

-Warrior Caste:

-Dominik Sabre-Tail (General of the Royal Guard)

-Arseny the Mane (Honorary Commander of the Khran-Mert. Real leadership is held by Capsom Borella)

-Gauriil the Swordmaster

-Merchant Caste:

-Alyona (only female member of the Ul-Thranya, and possibly only female member ever)

-Rurik the Slight (Arms dealer)

-Venimin (Perishable Goods Trader)

-Industrial Caste:

-Aleksandr the Lumber King (deals in lumber and lumber-related products)

-Ivan Iron-Claw (works with metal and precious stones)

-Pavel (deals in farming and plantations, growing and development of perishable goods)

-The Khran-Mert: One of the most honorable positions in Leonin society is to be admitted into the Khran-Mert. The Khran-Mert are a highly-respected group of soldiers posted to the Leonin Burial Cities as honor guards, caretakers, and deterrent against graverobbers. They typically have no families and have come from honorable and distinguished military careers. They live inside the Burial Cities, caring for the dead and the offerings left for them by their family and loved ones. Khran-Mert are recognizable by their smoke-blackened armor and black cloaks, compared to the standard red or blue Warrior Caste armor.

-Kuwaine: Leonins are known for a cheap alcohol they make called Kuwaine. Kuwaine is made of distilled coconut flower sap, prunes, and catswort. It is a particularly strong drink and is comparable to Human moonshine or rotgut. It is common among pirates, criminals, and working-class members of the Industrial and Merchant castes, as well as soldiers.

-Kush: While there are many varieties of tea found among the Leonin, a very common one is Kush. Kush is made of thyme and sage and is thought to provide both mental and physical health benefits.
