-The Lacertians are a reptilian race originating from the eastern swamplands of Kearne. One of the Elder Races, their people also are some of the longest living. While there are three permanent Lacertian city/villages, most villages are small and temporary. They are prone to relocating periodically, as solid ground in the swamps tends to shift over the coarse of time.

-Lacertians prefer to live simply, though they have the history and intelligence to build great cities if they wanted. They believe, similarly to the Silverkin, that Nature and the Forces of Nature are the guiding force for all life in Kearne, and thereby spend a great deal of their lives contemplating the meaning of life. Some of the greatest Seers have come from the Lacertian people, including Lkarski, who gave the people's of Kearne the first Prophesy of the Queens of Balance.

Caesmael- Caesmael are Lacertians with the ability to camouflage their scales to better blend into their surroundings. While not necessarily rare, they are not commonly found among the general population. And a great many of them have become thieves, assassins for hire, or have joined the Obsidian Order.

The Lotan- Lotan are a race of ancient Lacertian ancestors with direct ties to the water and open seas. They are taller, stronger and more agile than the current-day Lacertians. Their magic, a rare type called Aquarius Tempestus is a incredibly powerful magik that only gets more powerful the closer they are to the ocean. As of the start of our adventures, there is only one Lotan still alive, Vrazka the Sea Witch. Rumor has it that the original Lotan race was the product of a mating between a Lacertian and a Merfolk, though this rumor is unproven.

Rassidich: Rassidich is a alcoholic beverage made by the Lacertian people. Though it is a common drink for them, the rest of the races tend to find it foul and bitter tasting. In fact, most races use Rassidich as a disinfectant and fire-starter, due to its extremely high alcohol content.

-The Lacertians worship Cthala, the Spirit-Mother. No one know of her true appearance or origin, but she is usually depicted as sitting peacefully, three tails splayed out beneath her and six arms spread out to either side. Though there are alternate interpretations, typically each outstretched claw is said to represent an aspect of a spirit (Truth, Intelligence, Life, Passion, Love, and Strength), and each tail represents an element of existence (Mind, Body, and Spirit). Her left eye sometimes is shown with a star around it, representing foresight into the future. Seers often carry an amulet with an etching of her eye on it, while her two uppermost claws outspread, barely touching, are often seen representing the balance of the universe.
