-The Minotaurs come from what is now called the Petrified Isle. Sometime before their Great Migration, they lived in grand cities upon the island, enslaved by the Dragons. The Minotaurs, along with the other races, rebelled against the Dragons in the Great Dragon Wars. As retribution for their rebelling, the Dragons razed the island with dragonfire and left it a desolate, burn-out waste. The remaining Minotaurs escaped and made their new home in and around the Mountains of Desolation, where their people still roam freely.

-Somehow, over the course of time, the Minotaurs forgot their own history and came to believe the Dragons to be the benevolent ancient masters of the Minotaur race. They began worshipping the Dragons, particularly the Golden Dragon, who they said created their race. They maintain the belief that the Golden Dragon is somewhere in the sky, protecting all the races from the Void Dragon. They believe that someday the Gold Dragon will return and lead the Minotaurs to reestablish their rightful place as a dominant race.

-Scattered throughout Kearne are Dragon Burial Troves. These locations are close-kept secrets by the Minotaurs, treated as Holy Ground by their race. The only one of these locations publically known is Goldrest. Goldrest is the Minotaur Holy City built atop what the Minotaurs believe to be the Trove of the Golden Dragon.

-Minotaurs are very family-oriented, as well as tribe-oriented. A Minotaur's first loyalty should be to his blood, then his tribe, and any who break either of those trusts are held in high disdain and labeled an exile.

-The traditional weapon, dating back to before the Dragon Wars, is the Ruk'Tong. A utilitarian weapon, the Ruk'Tong is both a war-ax and a camp-ax. They are passed down from generation to generation, the text on the head changed and updated by each new owner. (See Picture)

-Minotaur Naming:

-Minotaur names do not use vowels or "Sh" sounds in their traditional naming. Some Minotaurs have adapted the usage of these sounds for use with non-Minotaurs.

-Minotaur males use a first name and hyphenated surname. (e.g.; Gorem Ragg's actual name is "Grm-Rgg"). Female Minotaur hyphenate either "Ver" (for married) or "Sik" (for unmarried) onto their surname. (E.g.; Gorem's wife, Yasmen, her traditional full name is "Ysmen-VrRagg". And Gorem's daughter, Yassik, her full name is "Yssk-Sik-Ragg")
