Hyein's POV:

Lunch break. Perfect time for a little chaos.

"Hey, Yoon! What was that?" I demanded, trying to keep the irritation out of my voice.

"What?" Yoon asked, looking way too innocent for my liking.

"Why did you tell him I have a boyfriend?" I pressed.

"So what? I saved you, right?" Yoon shot back, her grin only making me want to strangle her more.

"Sometimes I really wonder about your ability to make up lies," Sunghoon muttered, eyeing Yoon like she was a walking disaster.

"Yeah, right?" I agreed.

Suddenly, a voice called out, "Sunghoon oppa, will you be my boyfriend?"

Yoon and I exchanged a quick look before replying in perfect sync, "Then we'll leave you two alone."

Sunghoon froze, eyes wide, and shot me a desperate look. "Yaa!! Come back here," he whined.

I smirked, grabbing Yoon's hand like we were walking the red carpet. "Sorry, girl, but he's dating her," I said, pointing to Yoon, who was equally unimpressed with my antics.

Yoon and Sunghoon both glared at me, and I could practically feel the death threats radiating from their eyes. But hey, I mouthed "play along," and we all kept up the act.

"Yeah, we've been dating for a week, you know? Right?" Sunghoon added, pulling Yoon close.

"Yeah, yeah," Yoon muttered with a fake smile, totally playing along.

The girl, completely embarrassed, muttered, "Oh, sorry," and quickly backed away.

"Then, we'll get going now," I said, trying to keep it together as we walked away.

Once we were far enough...

"Yang Hyein, I am going to kill you," I heard Yoon hiss, and Sunghoon added his own dramatic threat.

It was then that I realized...I might've gone a little too far.

We turned towards the cafeteria, and as Sunghoon let go of Yoon's arm, I heard her shout, "Yaa!! You, Yang Hyein, come here. I will kill you right now!"

I started running. Fast. Because when Yoon's mad, it's like trying to escape a tornado.

As I sprinted down the hallways, I saw Yeonjun and his crew walking toward me. Of course. Just what I needed. I screamed, "Yaa, move!!" But nope. Yeonjun stood there, all smug and annoying.

"Why should I?" he asked, like I was the one blocking the road.

I glanced back. Yoon and Sunghoon were gaining on me. Great.

"Don't blame me," I said, shoving Yeonjun. But he grabbed my wrist, like some overdramatic villain.

"How dare you!?" he snapped.

"Let go, you jerk," I growled, trying to yank my hand free.

"No, not until you apologize," he said, his grip tightening.

"No way," I huffed.

And just as Yoon's angry yell echoed down the hall, I yanked my hand away from Yeonjun's grip and dove behind Mark. He blocked the way, and for a second, I thought maybe I was safe. But then...

SPLASH!

Yeonjun's POV:

I was casually heading to the cafeteria when I saw Hyein running like her life depended on it. Her friends were chasing her with a water bottle like it was the apocalypse. Naturally, I decided to block her way. I mean, why not?

I grabbed her wrist when she tried to shove me, but she yanked it away and hid behind Mark. I was too curious for my own good.

Then... SPLASH.

Hyein's POV:

I froze. Oh no.

"What the hell, Ha Yoon?" Yeonjun yelled, looking completely soaked.

Yoon looked guilty but then shrugged. "Oops, sorry, man! That was supposed to be for Hyein."

I heard her footsteps pounding behind me as she yelled, "Yaa, Mark and Doyoung, help me! I'll do anything you want!"

"Really?" Doyoung asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, yes, yes! I promise!" I pleaded, trying to bargain for my life.

Mark smirked and stopped Sunghoon and Yoon from chasing me. "Deal then," he said, and suddenly, I felt safer. "I'll help you. But only if you send me those embarrassing pictures of Yeonjun."

I grinned. "Deal."

And just like that, my survival instinct kicked in. Sometimes, you just have to make deals to avoid death by friendship.
