Yeonjun was lost in thought, reminiscing about Hyein. What had gone wrong between them? When did the hatred start?

Hyein was his first love. They weren't enemies back then, more like friends. But he wasn't the only one who loved her; Joshua did too. Joshua had been a friend, but that changed. Did Joshua love Hyein more than he did? Joshua left for the States after their fight, but now he was back. He still tried to talk to Yeonjun, but Yeonjun couldn't bring himself to respond.

Taking a deep breath, Yeonjun picked up his phone and called Joshua.

"Hello? Yeonjun?" Joshua answered.

"Can we talk? Now?"

"Okay, where are you? I'll come," Joshua said.

"I'll be at the park we used to go to in 10 minutes."

"Alright."

**TIME SKIP**

Joshua approached Yeonjun at the park. "I'm surprised you actually called me," he said.

"I can't avoid you forever, can I?" Yeonjun replied.

"Well... What's up? What happened?" Joshua asked.

"Do you still... love her?" Yeonjun asked hesitantly.

"It's been two years. Forget about that," Joshua said.

"No, we can't!" Yeonjun's voice rose.

"So what are we gonna do about it? We fought because we loved the same girl, right? What about it?" Joshua shouted back.

"You should have told me you loved her earlier! If you did, I wouldn't have—" Yeonjun started.

**Flashback**

Yeonjun and Joshua were good friends, along with Mark and Doyoung. Yeonjun had admitted he loved someone but didn't say who. Joshua had done the same.

One day, as they were talking, Yeonjun asked, "Josh, tell me who it is?"

"Who?" Joshua asked.

"The one you love. Tell me who it is," Yeonjun pressed.

"What about you? Tell me about yours," Joshua countered.

"I asked you first," Yeonjun insisted.

"Mmm, her name is—"

Just then, Hyein and Hayoon walked by. "There she is, I love her," Joshua said, looking at Yeonjun.

"She?" Yeonjun's face fell.

"Don't tell me you love her too," Joshua asked, noticing Yeonjun's expression.

"I'm sorry, let's talk later," Yeonjun said and left.

From that moment, Yeonjun avoided Joshua at all costs. One day, Joshua dragged Yeonjun to the roof and confronted him. They fought, and Joshua moved to London.

**End of Flashback**

"What do you mean, Yeonjun? How was I supposed to know you loved Hayoon too?" Joshua asked.

"Hayoon?" Yeonjun echoed.

"Yes, Hayoon," Joshua confirmed.

"You loved Hayoon, not Hyein?" Yeonjun asked in disbelief.

"Hyein? No, I loved Hayoon," Joshua clarified.

"Sorry, it's my fault," Yeonjun said, realization dawning on him.

"What do you mean?" Joshua asked, confused.

"That day, when you said you loved her, I thought you meant Hyein. That's why I..." Yeonjun trailed off.

"You idiot! It's your fault we ended up like this. If you hadn't jumped to conclusions, we wouldn't be like this," Joshua said, frustrated.

"So, do you still love her?" Yeonjun asked.

"I don't know, man," Joshua replied, sighing.

"Wait, you said you loved Hyein, but you two always fight. Why?" Joshua asked.

"To get rid of my feelings. But now, I just like to annoy her," Yeonjun admitted, looking annoyed.

"So, are we good now?" Joshua asked.

"Of course," Yeonjun said, a smile breaking through.

They made up, talked, and left the park with a renewed sense of friendship.
