Unknown: Rave's Story
Rave didn't look too interested in his past.
"I know all I need to know. I don't care about whatever you have in store for me.
"I know you'd rather not Rave, but it would still be nice for you to listen, you may not know everything you should just yet!"
Rave didn't respond, his legs shook anxiously, he wanted to get to the point as quickly as possible.
"Let's just get this over with, I'm tired of hearing you talk."
I smiled, lifting up my mask just to itch my nose, but cautiously enough not to show my mouth, "I like your attitude, right to the point! Okay, so your parents Emilai and Nicolas abused you as a child more than actually gave you love and affection, so in turn you learned to hate adults, especially ones who think they can boss you around as well as somehow developed a sense of justice in your eyes. At the age of 12 you accepted a job as a thief where you were bestowed the title 'Thief Vanish' because you could blend in a little too easily in the crowd, could hide almost anywhere at any given time, and usually did your jobs rather quickly and vanished the next second. After being forced to kill for the first time you tried to quit said job but the organization you worked for didn't allow it, so you ran away barely escaping and receding back into the shadows for another short while until you were old enough to get regular small jobs. One of the jobs you worked part time at was Anne's Antique Shop, where you met Azoria and later on her brother Freedom. One thing led to another, you got knocked out one final time and was sent to the hospital, when you returned home you met a little girl named Libia claiming to be your little sister who just wouldn't leave you alone. Then you were kidnapped by the organization you used to work for and now you're here! Am I correct?"
"Yes."
"Then let's fill in the blanks."
My gaze trailed over to Libia who had inched a little closer to her brother longing for his protection. It was tragic really, Rave let that thing get way too attached to him, and not in a good way.
"As you might have guessed, Emilia and Nicolas are a part of this organization, in fact, they were thieves themselves and were blessed with an early retirement to care and cherish the time they had with you. Although they as well as you aren't that high in the ranks they had no choice but to be recruited young, and along the line, they had you. Surprise, surprise Rave! You and Libia over there can also be classified as artificial beings, just, not fully artificial. You are your parents' full blood parents, you're just the product of what happens when a happily in love couple is desperate for a baby they otherwise could not have. Of course, as they are one of us they had the privilege of our help to create a healthy zygote for implantation into a surrogate mother. You were meant to be a female, but there were multiple complications including the determining of your sex. Nothing that couldn't be fixed however! Never knew they'd actually take my advice and dress you in what's considered female clothing! Nonetheless we gave your parents a healthy baby boy, but for a small price. In return, they'd give you up to become a valued employee for something I have no right to share with you at the moment. I didn't quite understand why they were so abusive at first, that was, until I realized something. Your parents didn't find pleasure in agreeing with those terms and giving you up like that. Your mother distanced herself, not being able to look at you for more than a minute without this overwhelming guilt. Your father dealt with the guilt in the classic form of alcohol abuse and in turn began abusing you because you reminded him of the choice he began to regret. You were meant to be sent to us when you were 12 years old, and the day before you'd receive the explanation you deserved for your parents' actions. However, 4 years before that day came you ran away from home, leaving your poor parents behind. Still, you didn't quite escape just yet! Dr. Sybil was assigned to aid you and prescribe the pills you desperately needed to survive when the time came for you to join us. I remember the first time you passed out and woke up in that emergency room. You were so shocked to see your doctor sitting beside you that day, explaining what happened and the pills you now needed to take to keep yourself alive! I believe it's the only medication you actually accepted from a doctor willingly! Ever since then you've received a small box of pills for you to take every day."
"I remember that...she threatened to force feed me every day if I didn't do it myself."
"Sweet woman wasn't she? She's dead now."
"What the hell did you do to her? Or did she die naturally as well?"
Rave didn't sound pleased. He remained calm, but his words were laced with aggression and worry.
"I killed her of course! She put up a good fight, she just didn't fight hard enough! Anyway, since we're talking about death, your parents are dead as well! Both from suicide after you ran away! Your mother hung herself in shame and your father, not being able to live anymore, shot himself in the head. It was so sweet, he held on to that old doll you made so long ago! The last words both of them said, forgive me if my memory is foggy, were along the lines of I'm sorry...or was it I'll join you soon? Ah who cares! Both thought that I killed you or something, how tragic!" I explained ever so sweetly.
"Hm...well let's continue with Ms. Mary. Thought to have died of natural causes, but actually poisoned in her own home. Don't get your panties in a twist my dear boy! It had to be done! She did nothing really, she isn't even a part of the organization! You were simply getting too attached to that woman. Besides, her time was coming soon anyway! After this there weren't any other agents keeping a personal eye on you, that was, until you began working in our shop, but you already know the details of that. It was a good way to keep a steady eye on you before taking you in again. We could have taken you earlier but we wanted to see where life took you for a bit, so the plan was postponed."
"Is that all..."
"No. When you got hit by that car and ended up here? That was just one of our vans doing their job. If Azoria wasn't so difficult, you'd wake up here as an android with no memory of your past to speed up your training process and make up for lost time! Although, I'm not allowed to share any other news about that. Anyhow, I think that's it! Still don't care for the details, Rave?"
He didn't answer, he only looked away.
