Azoria
"Why don't you walk with me Azoria"
His voice gave me the creeps. I didn't reply, and I refused to listen.
"Are you still angry at me? Is it because I didn't give you that mask I had? I promise I was going to make you one too, but you ran away before I finished!"
I glared at the tall man before me. He had the same eyes, the same hair, a different skin tone but a thick boned body. I was almost a complete gender swap of himself, just like he wanted. Underneath all the fake fatherly love I could see his pride. He had created a living being without any traditional methods. I had no severe mental or physical illness, and no disorders at birth; I had his ideal structure of the child he wished for. To him, I was a complete and utterly perfect machine. He had the smile, the eyes, the motives, and the ego of a modern tyrant; I couldn't bear to even look at him. No matter how far I went or how hard I tried he had complete control over my mind, body, and soul. I wasn't his daughter, I was his slave.
"If you truly insist, then we'll talk later."
I felt a slight pinch on my neck immobilizing me. My vision blurred, and my world went black
Freedom
He had cornered us, giving us a look of concern and judgment as he chuckled softly and looked up and down us. There was fear in our eyes, but we didn't surrender. The man was only inches away, his arms out and his hand stretched towards us for the taking. Almost simultaneously we split, ducking under his arms and escaping his grasp, and sprinting out the closet into the hall. The woman we were waiting on blocked the end of the hallway, but before she could really do anything I already jumped over her outstretched arms. Libra on the other hand slid under. On the run once again, we laughed in relief; next step, get out of the building.
All of a sudden I heard a faint buzzing sound following behind us. Just as I turned the corner this flying machine with two sharp weapons pointed towards us appeared from the corner. Libya looked behind her as well, eyes a little wide in shock.
"Drones!"
She ran faster, and so did I. I heard the first weapon come towards Libya.
Screech!
She made a dangerously sharp turn left, just missing the weapon's grasp. I grabbed her hand before she failed, helping her back up, and we continued running on.
We reached an elevator just as the drone was about to make an angled shot. The drone made another shot, hitting the elevator door. As soon as we ran out the elevator the drone was right there by the stairs waiting. The pressure increased and the air was lacking, Libia reached her limit, and she was the first to go.
Thump
Libia hit the ground, the dart hitting her neck before she could dodge. Panicked, I held the girl up the best I could hoping to find something to move her along with. However, time ran out for me as well. Out from another room came a young man in a lab coat. Before I could protest, my world went black.
