Parting Ways

    Without any suspicion on the way back home she tiptoed her way up the stone path leading up to the front door revealing it lit and bright that can easily attract dragons for who knows when they come back.

     Anna reached out in front of her grasping onto the knob standing on the final stone path about to turn it to the right till she remembered Hagrid informed her parents she was supposedly 'asleep' on why she missed the meeting.

      Backing away hearing the heel of boots click on the path releasing the knob looking over her shoulder spotting no berkian in sight using the only light from her home facing front thinking of away up without being seen.

    Quietly scurrying around to the hut her window remembering a rope that draped out using it to sneak out at night only to see it not hanging but burned half way not being able to jump to reach the other half.

    Panic spread across Anna's face standing frozen in the darkness with no way up "my parents are going to ground me" she mumbled shifting her gaze staring up at her window that's not lit.

    A gust of breeze swiftly moved Anna's bangs out of her eye along with her braid over her shoulder jumping in fright not being able to scream.

      Whipping her head around spotting nothing "it was the wind Anna, no invisible dragon" repeating inside her brain shuddering at the thought.

    Regaining herself taking deep breaths "okay its either climb or be grounded" glancing at the window and the door on the other side.

    The thought of lying to her parents also missing the meeting saying "oh sorry mom and dad i was helping Hiccup hunt down a dragon but you didn't believe us" is an excuse that won't work especially on her dad.

     Sucking in her breath using her right heel twisting herself in the direction of the front door about to take a step feeling a tug from behind like she's being lifted off the ground.

   Anna eyes-widen squealing in shock not getting a good sight who's lifting her from how dark it is gulping her nerves trying to stay quiet not freaking out waking up the whole island with worry.

    Nothing but the moon in the sky heading inside bringing in the middle of the room setting Anna down with the heels of her boots hit the floor quickly spinning around the room with nothing in sight. 

   The curtain waved in the distance approaching it with caution sticking a hand out feeling no draft from the wind closing the curtain with the came hand before backing away. 

     "Anna honey, are you awake" a voice shouted up whipping back around not being able to process on what happened quickly undressing herself changing into a nightgown.

  Struggling, balancing on one foot removing her boots jumping into bed with covers over her body hugging her doll facing away from the door pretending to sleep.

    The door creaked open "Anna?" a foot stepped in approaching the fake sleeper "mom?" Anna fake yawned positioning herself the other way taking a sight of her mom.

     Iduna stood in front "Hagrid informed your father and I you slept through the meeting" she said calmly "I didn't mean too" Anna laid up stretching out her arms.

      Feeling pang of guilt looking at her mom removing herself out of the covers swinging her legs "what was it about?" releasing her doll before standing up.

     Iduna took a step forward with both hands smoothing out Anna's nightgown "your father will fill you in" kissing her daughters forehead before turning herself around.

     Anna watched her mom leave without any suspicion needing to tell her what happened turning her gaze at the window before following behind.

Reaching the last step hearing the fire crackle from the distance and a distinguish smell went into her noes "cookies!" Eyes brightening walking to the smell.
