Her eyes fluttered open and rubbed it to adjust to the light realizing she ended up sleeping and lying on the bed when she promised she would stay with Five. She even dreamed of a memory she didn't even want to remember.

"Nice dream?" someone asked making her jump a little seeing Five still writing on the wall, standing on the bed "You're still not done?" she asked in a low voice, "Oh, I think I've got something." Five shared as she stood up next to him "It's tenuous but promising." she reacted while looking at his equations.

They heard footsteps coming inside the room seeing Luther, "What is all this?" he asked "It's a probability map." Five answered, "Probability of what?" Luther questioned, "Of who's death could save the world." Five replied annoyingly and pointed at the wall, "I've narrowed it down to four."

"Are you saying one of these people causes the apocalypse?"
"No, I'm saying that their death could prevent it."
"I'm not following..."

Five sighed heavily, "Time is fickle, Luther. The slightest alliteration in events can lead to massively different outcomes in the time continuum. The butterfly effect." he explained, "So all I have to do is find the people with the greatest probability of impacting the timeline, wherever they may be, and kill them."

Luther went closer to the wall, not understanding a thing while Five went down and grabbed Vanya's book, "Milton Greene. So who's he? A terrorist or something?" Luther asked. "He's a gardener." Y/N answered while helping Five with his equations on the book and Luther looked at them in disbelief, "You can't be serious."

"Look, this is madness, guys. You– W-where did you get that?" Luther objected until he saw his brother grab a gun under his bed, "In Dad's room. I think he used it to shoot a rhinoceros, it's similar to the model we used at work." Five answered while testing it, "Nice shoulder fit and highly reliable."

"But you can't. This guy Milton is just an innocent man." Luther exclaimed, "It's basic math." Five defended, "His death could potentially save the lives of billions. If I did nothing, he'd be dead in four days anyway. The apocalypse doesn't save anyone."

"We don't do this kind of thing—" Luther objected
"We are not doing anything. Y/N and I will."
"I can't let you two go and kill innocent people, Five. No matter how many lives you'll save."

"Well, good luck stopping us." Five said and walked away but Luther forcefully gripped Y/N's neck causing her to gasp and attempt to take his large hands on her, "You're not going anywhere." he threatened and put the girl outside the window.

She choked from pain and looked down seeing how high she was in, feeling like she was going to die from Luther's tight hands. She can't just fight him or else she'll fall until the watch beeped again from fear and too much emotion.

Five's eyes widened and didn't hesitate to point the gun at Luther quickly more than he imagined, "Put... her... down." he demanded, his voice stern and frightening. "Put the gun down. You're not going anywhere." Luther replied calmly, ignoring the beeping watch going louder, "I know she's important to you, so don't make me do this."

"It's either her or the gun."
"You decide."

His hands started shaking while holding the gun, hesitating if he should or not. Until Luther dropped the girl like a toy causing her to scream and Five widened his eyes, spatial jumping into Luther's side and successfully catching her.

The watch stopped beeping as the girl fainted from the sudden shock, Five can even hear her heart beating so fast like it was fighting for its life.

"Breathe... Just breathe..." he whispered to her and connected their foreheads together.
