Thank you so much for 1k reads! I'm cryinggg
They arrived at the Commission seeing the building on a bright day, the people wearing vintage clothing. She breathed heavily, missing the breeze of it and how Five built this through his sweat and blood.
"I only wonder how the founder built such an uneasy commission." she said, her hands both on her back while they were walking.
"I'm afraid I cannot answer your thought. The commission remains a secret on how it was built." The Handler replied
"You don't need to answer, I didn't ask you in the first place."
Five restrained himself from laughing and ended up smirking at her, "I must admit, Number Five, in all the time I've been here, I've never met anyone quite like you." she changed the subject and did not include the girl.
"Hazel and Cha-Cha, for example, are talented, certainly, but they can't see the big picture. Your spunk, your enterprising spirit, well it reminds me a great deal of myself if I may be so vainglorious." she added and put her hand around his shoulder, pulling him closer.
Y/N scoffed from behind and rolled her eyes because of The Handler's clinginess to the boy. She really thinks Five would like her because they think the same? He would like his woman more likely to not kill him in his sleep.
"If things work out for you here, you could potentially made a fine successor, Five." she said but Five looked at her and pointed his head at the girl, "...including Y/N." she added and looked back at the girl who faked a smile.
They reached inside as The Handler took her coat off revealing her in a black sleeveless dress and give the coat to her assistant, "I'd like to discuss the logistics of my family's safety at your earliest convenience." Five said, "As well as this body's replacement."
"Such chutzpah." The Handler reacted while walking upstairs, "It's refreshing, I'll admit. But slow down, Five. All in good time."
The Handler explained everything they need to know while Y/N was nothing but boredom in her mind since she all knew what every room was inside. They even walked across the bunker that was under construction at the time making her smirk.
They reached a room filled with people busy in their typewriters, she followed the two like a lost puppy, feeling like she was suddenly invisible because of The Handler's words, she shouldn't be feeling this. Until Five held her hand while The Handler introduced them to Dot who was handling the apocalypse.
She smiled sweetly at Dot even though she isn't familiar with her friend's thirteen-year-old self, the two were rather close since she was one of Five's favorite employees in the management. The girl playfully winked at her causing her face to go warm and redden.
"In fact, it was Dot here who first flagged your appearance in 2019. Although Y/N is unexpected." The Handler explained
"No hard feelings." Dot chuckled
"Well, you two certainly put us through the ringer. Outsmarting two of our so-called best temporal assassins." The Handler said and put her hand again on Five's shoulder, "If that doesn't spell leadership material..." she exclaimed, gaining the attention of all the people in the room, "...I just don't know." she chuckled and pat his shoulder.
"I suspect you like a challenge, Five." The Handler said and pulled a chair from an empty desk. "Which is why I've given you a particularly complex first case." she added and handed him a folder as Five opened it.
"It's too bad Joseph Spah decided against sabotaging the fuel tank. It would've been so much easier." she shared with a chuckle, "What about Y/N?" Five asked and the girl looked at The Handler, batting her eyelashes.
