She woke up feeling an arm wrapped around her waist as she only opened her eyes only to see Five sleeping peacefully. Her cheeks went red without knowing and admired his face so close to hers, she's her husband anyway so why bother?
"Stop staring at me..." he said in a low voice
"And stop holding my waist."
"Hmmm... no." he replied and only pulled her closer
She sighed and put her hand on her chest to feel the necklace, realizing it was gone from her neck. She panicked and sat up causing Five to open his eyes in shock as she finds the necklace around her body but she didn't feel a metal around her.
"Why? What's wrong?" Five asked and got up, realizing he had a wound on his arm.
"My necklace. It's missing." she panicked and looked around the bed, hoping it was hiding in the sheets.
"Shit! I can't lose that ring." she whispered and started looking at Five next.
"If it's in my possession I would've given it to you already." he sighed "You can never be too sure." she replied and noticed the wound on his arm causing her to stop looking at the necklace.
"Why didn't you tell me?" she asked but he didn't answer and just shrugged.
She sighed heavily before grabbing the first-aid kit and took his suit off and started cleaning the wound, "You should tell me these things, Five. No matter how bad my day is. This will lead to infection if you leave it like this." she said worryingly.
"This will hurt a bit." she whispered before inserting the needle into his skin making the boy groan from pain, "Stay still and hold onto me," she said and Five gripped her waist for support.
"What's so special about that ring anyway?" he asked before groaning from pain.
She thought of an excuse, "A friend gave it to me before the apocalypse happened. Saw her die in front of me." she answered, feeling guilty for lying.
Five nodded, "Why don't you visit her?" he asked "She... She doesn't know me yet. We just met when I escaped the hospital and that day was the day the apocalypse happened." she explained before finishing the stitch and putting a band-aid on the wound.
"So, where are we going today?" she changed the subject but still not over that necklace, "We'll go back to that lab. I feel like the man is hiding something." Five answered as he stood up and put on his suit.
He put the bag in his back where Delores was in and opened the window, slowly going down. "You do know there is an exit door in the house right?" Y/N asked "I don't want to get too much attention." he answered while the girl followed him down.
"Damn it, where is Dad's stuff?!" they heard someone whine and saw that it was Klaus, "Shut up!" he added like he was talking to someone.
"I'm trying to find whatever priceless crap was in that priceless box so that Pogo will get off my ass!"
"I'd ask what you're up to Klaus, but then it occurred to me... I don't care." Five said while climbing down the ladder.
"Hey!" Klaus laughed "You know there are easier ways out of the house, buddy?" he added "This one involved the least amount of talking. Or so I thought." Five answered as the two got off the ladder.
"Hey, hey, hey, so... You need any more company today?" Klaus asked while holding a silver hip flask, "I could uh, clear my schedule."
"No, thank you. Looks like you got your hands full." Y/N replied
Klaus looked at the hip flask that he was holding, "Oh, this? No, no... I can do this whenever. I'm just–" he said and suddenly fell into the garbage.
