A/N:

This is for a very special person, which I shall not name here. Thank you for being my inspiration and bundle of joy whenever we talk. I wove you :)

Oh yeah, The hedgehog story will be uploaded on Saturday (or around that) as usual. This is just a tiny little interlude I wrote and want to upload now.

How can I say No to my cute little Omega? (Or: This Day Sucked)

Some days sucked right at the beginning. Just when you open your eyes, you know the day sucked and everything will go downhill from the moment you step out of the bed.

The moment Brett opened his eyes on a misty Saturday in early July in the damnable humid climate; he knew the day would suck. He would be super uncomfortable since the humidity was through the roof, barely any sunshine would break through the low hanging dark clouds and his beloved omega was nowhere to be seen.

His scent was stale and Brett groaned. Eddy seemed to be up for hours at that point. Or he never came home. While they were a pair – fated one to boot, so double luck – and loved each other dearly, it didn't mean they were glued side-by-side 24/7.

Some nights Eddy didn't come home, and other nights, Brett was busy. They trusted each other enough to know that nothing funky or sinful happened. The only sinful thing happening was in their bedroom they shared. And on the couch. Or table. Or floor. Or wall. Or tub. Sometimes also the window but that was only used for special occasions. Like birthdays or anniversaries, when Brett came home from a long trip, or just when they felt like it... Yeah, they used the window a lot, much to his neighbor's chagrin.

Thankfully they owned a home – Brett did because he was a well-paid violin teacher nowadays – and their neighbor was a bit farther away, but it didn't stop them from coming over, banging on the door and shouting while... well, they banged and shouted as well.

But today simply sucked. Brett sighed and rolled on his side, not wanting to see the empty bed side him. He missed Eddy.

The alpha had no choice but to get up eventually. He took a nice shower – which also went wrong because first of all, he stepped under it while the water was freezing cold, and then he slipped while stepping out of it. He then tried to comb his hair - only to stab the brush into his eye while it slipped from his hands – before he gave up and simply dressed while his hair was all over the place.

After doing what needed to be done – namely coating the porcelain throne with not-apple-juice – he went to the kitchen to fix himself a hopefully nice breakfast. Just as the coffee dripped onto his floor – the mug was a the traitor because it broke in two, leaving him with a slightly burned hand and a mess – he heard the door being opened.

Cursing under his breath and throwing a towel on the floor to let the brown bean juice soak into it, he left the kitchen and went to the hallway. Of course he tripped and nearly smashed his face into the wall.

Yes.

Definitely.

The day sucked.

"Hello love." Eddy's smiling face was a stark contrast to the grumpy face of Brett, who leaned not-so-casually against the delicate drywall.

"Hi. Welcome back." Even his voice cracked at the simple three words. Brett sighed deeply and rubbed his face. The omega came closer, enveloping Brett into his soft tangerine-lime scent and arms.
