an hour later

THE WOMAN ON THE FLOOR WAS WOKEN up by Gar and Rachel who shared panicked looks on their faces. According to both frantic teens, Rachel had been tricked by her mother into bringing her father back from whatever dimension he had been banished to so that he could destroy the world.

Oh, and also, Dick Grayson was under Trigon, Rachel's father's, control and was now trying to kill them. "What?!" Paige, who had been ultimately confused about the situation itself, exclaimed after they had explained it to her.

"We don't have time to repeat it, we need to get out of here!" Gar said. The woman nodded. They helped her up as she groaned in pain, finally noticing the knife stuck in her stomach, curtesy of Angela. "Paige, you're hurt," the boy pointed out quite obviously.

"Thanks, Gar I hadn't noticed." If she pulled the knife out, she'd most likely bleed to death, so her only option was to deal with the uncomfortable pain for now. Her eyes landed on the man in the distance whose eyes were fully black and skin was pale. "Rachel, I hate your dad," Paige said, staring down the twisted version of Dick Grayson.

"Yeah, me too." The trio ran away toward the stairs. The house began to shake as they watched the hallway extend.

"What the fuck?" The three of them walked down what seemed like an endless path that would stretch for the rest of eternity. Dick's eerie voice was heard behind them in the distance.

"Rachel? Come out and play," he said tauntingly.

"Ew. Now that's fucked," Paige said before Rachel suggested looking for a way out. There was nowhere else to go except for the lone room at the end of the hall. Turning around, they all noticed Dick now staring right at them. "Shit. Go!" she ushered, as they ran down the hall away from him.

Once Gar and Rachel made it into the room, Paige turned towards Dick. "Dick... it's Paige you have to snap out of this!" the woman yelled, backing away from him as he stalked towards her. Noticing that it would take more than that to get him back, she did her best to run towards the door behind her, mentally cursing Angela for the knife stuck in her.

Jiggling the doorknob, she realized that it had been locked and it wouldn't budge at all. Her heart beat faster as he got closer to her. Before he could reach her, the door swung open before shutting again. She landed on the floor after losing her balance. "Yeah thanks for the last minute help guys." Gar and Rachel gave her apologetic grins.

"He was right behind you we—" He was interrupted by the sound of banging on the door.

"This isn't right, believe me. This isn't how it's supposed to end," Rachel said.

"She's right," Dick said from the other side of the door. "It ends with us all being together. Just let me in. I just want to talk to you. That's what you want too isn't it. Rachel? To talk to me. To get through to me. To make me see the light again. Well, here I am. I'm listening."

"Maybe we can get through to him." A hole was punched through the door before his dark eyes came into view.

"Shit!" Looking around the room, she noticed a crawl space. "There! Both of you go, I'll hold him off."
