two days later

DURING THE DAY, THE TITANS HAD BEEN working hard to gather any clues on where Paige had gone. "I think I found something!" Gar exclaimed, running into the kitchen where Kory, Dick, and Conner had been talking. Since then, the four of them have been in the tech room looking at the different clues the green-haired Titan had put together.

"So you're saying she's been less than ten minutes away this entire time?" Dick asked angry at himself that he wasn't the one who was able to put it all together sooner. He watched as Gar nodded still not being able to wrap his head around the entire thing either.

"Well, then what are we waiting for?" Kory asked. "Let's go bring Paige back—"

"No," Conner suddenly said, causing others to furrow their eyebrows in confusion. "It's just...too easy. I mean, come on, the process of taking her was too big to just have her right at our reach. There's something else going on that we're not seeing."

Sighing, Dick agreed, "As much as I don't want to admit it, Conner's right. Who knows what we're getting ourselves into. We could be falling into a trap for all we know. We're no use to Paige if we're dead."

"So we just have to wait?" Kory asked, irritation raising in her voice. The decision caused tension between the group as neither of them knew what was the best plan of action. Either go and risk getting themselves killed or not go and risk getting Paige killed.

"Look, I'm not saying we shouldn't, all I'm saying is that we should at least wait and—" Dick's reasoning was interrupted by a sudden voice coming from the entrance.

"Anybody home?" they heard echo.

"Is that...?" Gar turned to Kory but his question was answered by Dick running out of the room and down the hall, followed closely behind by Conner, Kory, and Gar.

Dick couldn't believe what he was seeing. He spent the last few days reaching dead end clues just for Gar to find something in two hours. And now it didn't even matter because she was standing right in front of them with a few minor scratches on her body like nothing was wrong. "Paige?" he asked, just for his own clarification to make sure he wasn't seeing things.

"In the flesh," she simply replied. The group watched in slight shock as she walked over to the kitchen, pouring herself a glass of water. "What?" she asked, noticing their calculating stares.

"You were in an accident and you were gone for a week. We didn't know where you were or if you were..."

"Dead?" she interrupted Dick, raising an eyebrow in question of whether her assumption was right or not. She watched as he nodded, feeling guilty that he ever doubted her chances of survival. "Well unfortunately for you, shitheel, I'm perfectly fine. I was in the hospital and I just recently woke up," she said, explaining her whereabouts. "If those are all of your questions answered, then I'll be in my room if you need me."

Gar waited until she was out of earshot to say what was on his mind. "So that was also weird for you guys too right? Like I'm not the only one?"

"No, you're definitely not," Dick said. "I'm also not the only who noticed she barely had any injuries on her, right?"

"I thought I was just blind," Kory mentioned.
