Chapter 32 - Miss Katima

A few weeks earlier...

Toga hummed as she skipped out of the portal "We're home Kurogiri~" she smiled as she made her way to her normal spot at the bar counter

Jinni stepped out of the portal, making mental notes about the quirk. "Very interesting quirk. I've seen my fair share of portal and teleporter quirks. Even had a few myself."

Kurogiri looked at Jinni somewhat skeptically and asked the two other villains who stepped through "May I inquire on who this may be?"

He offered "And in the meantime, will you be interested in any food or drinks?"

"This is Jinni! I ran into her with Regis-kun~" Toga hummed "She's a student at UA, and wants to join us!"

"My name is Jinni Katima. Do you make any good ramen bowls by any chance? Also what drinks do you have?" The visitor said while examining the slowly closing portal.

Kurogiri relaxed a little and glanced back towards Jinni "Well, pleasure to meet your acquaintance; Miss Katima." He slightly angled his posture towards the kitchen "I'm afraid I cannot prepare any ramen, I do not posess the knowledge how; nor do we have the needed materials. You're a student's age, so I won't provide you any of our alcoholic beverages; but we do have a small variety of soft drinks. Including milk, juice, cola products, and energy drinks."

Jinni pondered this for a moment. "Can I have a sprite please? By the way I love your quirk. It's definitely an interesting one." She said while examining Kurogiri now. "As for food, whatever you have is fine."

"By the way, I met the girl that I saw with Shiggy! Her name is Alice~" Toga grinned

"Maybe we'll have to talk to her soon, see what crusty us up to.."

Kurogiri seemed to smile at the comment about his quirk "I'll make you some rice, Jinni"

He seemed relieved about the news of Toga finding Tomura's new acquaintance "That'll make this situation much easier, thank you for finding her; Toga. Tomura will be back home in no time..."

Jinni nodded her head and smiled "Thank you Kurogiri." Jinni took mental note of the name Alice and Shiggy, but said nothing while taking a seat on the bar stool. She reached into her bag for a notebook labeled Teleporter/Portal Quirks and started writing on a new page.

Kurogiri turned into the kitchen and started preparing a bowl of steamed rice for Jinni, fetching a can of Sprite from their fridge and pacing over to set it in front of her.

It took a few minutes, but he delivered the rice to Jinni politely. "There you have it, don't be afraid to request any add-ons."

It seemed Jinni was already on Kurogiri's good side.

Toga hummed "Alice is a hero student but, isn't much of a talker" she pouted "1B student too, She's kinda cute tho~"

"A hero student? Strange. Would've thought Tomura would avoid those like the plague." Kurogiri didn't seem too bothered, leaning on the counter.

Jinni looked up from her drawing and smiled at Kurogiri. "Thank you. By the way, what do you think of my drawing?" She showed Kurogiri the sketch of his portals and shadow form. "Don't worry. I rarely include someone's names. This is just reference in case I were to ever get a quirk similar to yours." She smiled.

Kurogiri looked at the drawing, seeming flattered "Oh my, what an artist you are! Facinating."

"I think you all aren't thinking about this enough, but you're going to have to figure that out on your own." Dabi commented.

The bartender looked up at Dabi "I don't know what you imply by that..."

"You will when you figure it out."
