A/N: TW again for Portryal of Toxic Relationships

With increasingly wide eyes, Ace jumped up from her current position on the floor to grab her sweatshirt, barely pulling it back on before dashing from the gym to search for Uiko.

The lightning around Uiko caused the lights in the bedroom to burst.

Ace rushed around the bunker, opening every room until she finally found the unfinished bedroom Uiko is currently electrifying.

She ran towards the open door, ready to rush in to help her but with a yelp, realized the floor was covered in water with electricity running through it,

"UIKO! I need you to calm down and think rationally about this!"

Uiko heard Ace, but her words only angered Uiko further. The storm worsened, spreading the water closer to Ace. Uiko was quietly muttering "My fault" over and over, as she continued to allow her thoughts to run haywire

Steeling her nerves and recalling the last time she'd been electrocuted, Ace walked straight into the room, the water pooling around her feet and sending shocks straight through her body,

"Uiko...you need....to...calm...down!" she stuttered out between gritted teeth, as the electricity continuously shocked and singed her, her motor functions slowly shutting down.

Sensing Ace moving closer, Uiko decreased the amount of lightning she was creating, not wanting to hurt Ace anymore than she already was.

"Please- stop, Hami..." she croaked out, her voice scratchy.

"Not...until...you...hear...me...out," Ace finally stopped a few feet from the other girl, before dropping to her knees, exhausted beyond belief from the electrification.

Uiko stopped the lightning, still facing away from Ace and wrapping her wings tightly around her body.

One could still see her through the thinness of them, though slightly distorted. The clouds stopped their downpour but continued to hang around, floating gloomily over the pair.

Ace panted heavily, not being used to exposure of Uiko's quirk for long periods of time and already being drained from her earlier training, "Please just listen to me, that's all I'm asking of you..."

Uiko's body shuddered in her winged cage, as she kept mumbling, "my fault, my fault..."

Ace slowly crawled over to Uiko, careful not to startle her, for fear of being electrocuted once again,

"I'm sorry Uiko, I really am," she brought her knees to her chest and buried her head in her hands, so as to not show off the new tears streaming down her face.

Uiko turned her head, looking over her shoulder at Ace through her wings. "It's not your fault..."

"Everything's my fucking fault." Ace retorted.

"My team falling apart, all this shit with Evelyn, the burns, even you killing your fucking parents. Can't you see that I'm the reason everything bad happens? I'm a fucking bad luck charm come to life," she mumbled out, still keeping her face hidden from Uiko.

Uiko rolled fully over, still keeping her wings caged around her. She had thought she was responsible for the things that had gone wrong in the relationship.

Uiko continued to look at Ace, silently. If it wasn't her fault, Ace needed to take a lot more responsibility for the things that had happened.

"You should've just left me to die that night..." Ace whispered to her, the ongoing silence almost suffocating her until it was broken.
