AN: Ah, my lad Shadow is introduced!
Alice lied in her hospital bed, cast around her right arm, it had been broken to two places. She let out a small sigh, being bored in a hospital was not her favorite thing, She started to become uneasy due to being the only one in the room. Her anxiety and fear started to hit her at full force, she really just wanted someone to talk to, or just be near someone.
A pitch black figure pushed opened the door to Alice's room quietly, asking politely with a warbled voice "Hello? Can come in?"
Alice turned to look at the silhouette-like figure before giving a small smile "Hello, you can come in" she smiled, her voice was still a bit scratchy.
The figure slid into the room, wearing a UA uniform, shutting the door behind them and approaching Alice "Hi, sometimes walk here and visit patients; sorry for interruption." They seemed to smile "Name Shadow! What's yours?"
Alice smiled at him "Alice Delpher, what class are you in?" She asked, glad that someone else was in the room with her.
Shadow answered cheerfully "1-C! You're in hero course, right?" He pulled up a chair to sit next to her.
Alice nodded "1-B" she smiled "though, I have more friends in 1-A" she gave a gentle laugh
Shadow nodded and chirped "Ohhhh, that's it. Thought you 1-A, but I see now!" He fidgeted with his tie and smiled. "So, how are you?" They tilted their head.
Alice let out a small sigh "Afraid? Scared? Scared to see him again, Afraid to be alone" she gave a sad smile.
Shadow hesitated for a moment before warbling quietly "I'll stay here with you, then...! Is that okay?"
Alice stared at him before a soft smile spread across her face "Thats fine, I don't mind. Having company and someone to talk to is so much better"
"Yay!" He let out a little cheer and smiled "Can help you with anything? Hungry? Thirsty? Just talk?"
She gave a small chuckle "Pudding would be nice" she said and slightly scratched her cheek in embarrassment.
Shadow got up and nodded, glancing around the room "Where that?"
Alice pointed at the tray on the table in the corner "they brought me food earlier, but I wasn't really hungry tho"
Shadow nodded, walking over to grab the pudding cup on the tray. He turned slightly and asked "Just this?"
Alice gave a small nod "I've got a sweet tooth right now" she smiled over at him.
Shadow nodded, picking up a spoon for her as well, taking it back to Alice with a smile "Here, arms look hurt... want me to?" He gestured with the spoon happily.
Alice's face turned a bit red, not used to the action, she nodded, too afraid of stuttering.
Shadow smiled, opening the pudding cup and mixing it with the spoon a little before scooping a little out and offering it to Alice. "Do this with stepmom sometimes when she sick, it no problem"
Alice nodded "it's fine" she said softly before opening her mouth for the pudding.
Shadow gently fed Alice, taking care not to make any sudden movements. He asked curiously "Is this favorite food? Or something else?"
Alice nodded as she swallowed the pudding "I like strawberry pudding the most" she hummed.
Shadow smiled at that, warbling happily "That's really good. My favorite is caramel!" He supplied another spoonful for Alice cheerfully.
