"I wish summer would come." Sighed Amy. Amy had raven black hair, sharp sea color eyes. Always wearing her navy-blue hair band in her hair. Black bottom boots clicking against the ground every school day. People still never heard her; they choose to ignore her. She always sat alone at lunch, no one wanted to sit with her. The corner of the lunch room was labeled for the no bodies; the corner was silent and no one bothered you. In her pale hand held a book. Amy was reading The Brothers Grimm; some people thought fairy tales were only for kids. But what fairy tales did for Amy was bring her to a different world from her own. She went for a sip of water, her throat drier than anything, parch at most.

An odd almost illusion of a boy came by Amy's table. She looked up into his frog green eyes. He sat down and she was winded by his figure and appearance. He seemed as if he came out a novel. Fake, pure, he looked only like an illusion. His frog green eyes fixated on her. Amy examined him, a very light brown hair boy, but with a scarlet red tent over it, like she has never seen before. Amy could tell he was shy by how his body language was; his eyes searched everything around both of them. Including her. He seemed cute in a quiet kid kind of way. After Amy examined him, she said questionably. "Umm hi?"" The strange illusion like boy was strange by how he looked at her and her book. Like he was trying to figure her out like a puzzle, a broken puzzle at that. "You like fairy tales?" The boy asked. Her chest tightens and so did her jaw as well. Was he just one of the jocks from football, coming to mess with her again? As she made fists, she relaxed them. His appearance changed her mind about it, making her rethink what she already thought of. He looked smaller than her almost, slenderer and bean-stalk like. But that didn't mean anything, he could be a jock for all she knew. Weirdly she felt calm around him though. Amy said confidently. "Yes why?" The green eyes boy asked keenly. "My name is Jack and would you like to go into a fairy tale story?" Amy just stared at Jack, not knowing if this was a practical joke or if he was being dead serious. Jack stood up, straightening his back fully, he was very tall when he wasn't wincing over. His height must hurt his back. "Follow me." He disclaimed. Amy didn't know what to do. Should she go or just act like he was not even there. But Jack was walking away, without glancing back a single time to see if she was following. Amy sighed deeply and the curiosity got to her. She thought deeply to herself. "I'm dumb for doing this." She quickly got up and caught up with him. He was somehow almost down the hallway already, but she paced herself after him. Jack took a sharp left into one of the 9th grade math teachers' classrooms. No one was ever rarely in it after school so it was empty, but the whole building seemed to be dead silent as well. Right now, Amy didn't like the way they went into a classroom alone. She cleared her voice, trying to think of an excuse to get out of there.

Knowing her curiosity always got the best of her, at wrong or worst times. She was about to make a run for it till. Jack asked gently. "Can I see your book?" She was slow about it, not wanting to give her book to him. It wasn't that she was being mean or trying to be rude, it just was that her book was her most prized possession. This mystery boy in front of her must either be on something, or was taking this joke too far. Amy just gave a brief nod trying not to make a scene, just in case this was a joke and someone was recording. "Ok." Amy handed her book to him, as she did; their index and middle fingers briefly touched. Amy felt a warm tingle go through her body but ignored it, as she focused on him. He didn't seem to notice it, if he did, he didn't show it. He propped the book open on the classroom floor. Jack extended his hand for her to take, seeming serious about this whole thing. "Take my hand." She just looked at his hand in confusion, with a cautious expression across her face. Her thoughts raced at mock speed. Amy knew deep down she should have listened to her gut feeling, and should have never followed him here or even listened to him. He noticed her discomfort within seconds of her showing it. Her mind was screeching not to take his hand. But Amy still took his hand doubtfully. She said to herself. "What's the worse that could happen, if I'm just holding his hand?" But what happened next was something that could only happen in a fairy tale. They weren't in the classroom anymore.

Amy thoughts raced faster than a rocket ship going at max speed.

Amy stares at Jack with eyes wider than the earth. They were in a big wooded forest, the trees the size of mountains. You couldn't see over the trees, only through them. Some trees were giant sequoias, some were old oak trees, others huge pine trees. Jack had a small hinted grin on his shein face. Amy's voice cracked as she yelled at him. "Where are we!?" Jack searched Amy's face for any recognition of this place but found none, he frowned. "You said you liked fairy tales stories, so I brought you into one. Well almost a fairy tale story." She stared at him, as if he was crazy, but wait he is crazy. She stared into his eyes, but all she found was no remorse for what he did or has done. Amy sneered with laughter. This was ridiculous she thought to herself. There's no such thing as someone going into a fairy tale. Amy started to walk away; in some direction she didn't know where it would lead. Jack asked softly as if his tone would calm me down. "Where are you going?" Amy abruptly snapped. "We can't be in a fairy tale; they are just stories!" Jack looked at her with honesty in his expression, like he was telling the full truth. "You can't go home, yet." Amy commented to him. "I was so stupid to follow you, now look what happened?" Amy threw up her arms in awe and yelled. "We're in the middle of nowhere!" Jack sighed with glee. "We are not in the middle of nowhere, you know where we are. Just look around you." Amy protested against his words, not understanding how that could help when she didn't know where they were. "I'm not looking around, and if you don't want to help me find the way back. Then I will do it by myself." Jack jeered a little. "Good luck with that, if you don't know where we are, then how are you going to find the way out, Sherlock?" Amy growled at his novel joke but he was right, how was she going to get out of somewhere she didn't even know? Jack sighed as he put his hands in his pockets. "We have to find the path if you want to go back." Amy stopped walking, turning around to face him but had the sense of humor to throw back at him. "What's the way then, Dr. John H. Watson? Jack showed a small but blissful smile as he started walking, going pass her. "Follow me then Spock." Amy sneered at his humor for the novel, he must have read Sherlock Homes before, surprisingly. He doesn't look the type to read, but it's not about appearance, its more about personality than anything.

Amy followed him, having no other choice but to. She was stubborn and was wanting to find the way out by herself. But she knew deep down, it was smarter to just get his help for the way out then to do it by herself.

After not even a few minutes of walking, it started to get dark. The trees were tall enough you couldn't see the sun or the sunset about to set. Jack started to pick up a faster pace, he must not like the dark. Or what comes out at night in the dark. She picked up speed with him, almost out pacing him. It got darker by the minute; it was unnatural for it to get so dark within minutes. Nothing about this place was natural or logical, though. Amy was going to mention the darkness and that they should do something about it or stop somewhere. Foolish she thought to herself. There's nothing out here, probably for miles on end, she thought. Jack stops optimistically, without a warning. She can barely see in front of her, let alone him stopping so timidly. She fell into him but Jack was swift and turned around, catching her in his arms. They both fell back a step but Jack balanced them, he looked down at her with concernment in his eyes. Amy looked up at him but quickly got out his arms, embarrassed that she tripped into him. Jack was quiet and didn't say another word and didn't mention it, as they kept on walking.

After a few moments Jack stated as he looked ahead. "We're here."
