Amy fumbled for words still, as she didn't know any more than what he had told her. "That old hunched man back there, why did he want to kill me?" "He didn't want to kill you, he wanted to take you with him. You're worth more than anything in this world, the King and Queen would pay a nice penny for you If you were ransom." Says Jack.

Amy felt sick to her stomach as she thought about it, the words found their way out before she could filter them. "Are you kidnapping me? Is that why you brought me from school to here, for ransom? You aren't planning to bring me back home, are you?" Jack stopped walking and whipped around on the balls of his feet to face her. "Why would you ask such a thing! No, I'm not kidnapping you, if I was, I wouldn't have protected you back there and would have left you to defend yourself. The reason why I brought you here is because you belong here, not in the human world. I'm supposed to protect you from now on because you were trusted to me by birth." Amy noticed Jack deliberately didn't answer her last question. "What about my last question then." Jack sighed deeply under his breath. "No, I am not bringing you back to your human world home, I'm bringing you back to your birthright home."

Amy came to a dead stop and crossed her arms as she declared. "I'm not going to move until you bring me back to my human home." Jack gave a vast sigh in a rush. "You can't be like that; we have to go now. Sorry to admit but you have no choice in this." Amy barked in disgust that he tricked her. "Then you have to pick me up or drag me by tooth and nail to that place, because I will not go." Jack grumbled loudly at the inconvenience. "Fine be that way, you will get your way then." Jack went up to her and before Amy could even protest, Jack threw her over his shoulder.

His strength she felt early was no lie. He was really strong to the point where it looked like she weighed nothing to his beanstalk figure. Jack started speeding walking down the path, while Amy protested and kicked wildly.

Amy would beat her fists against his back but Jack vividly showed no sign of care on his face. After a while she gave up and went limp as she just sighed and felt like a ragdoll.

Jack kept up a steady fast pace, even when a little hill came up. After what seemed to be thirty minutes, he finally stopped and sat her down on her feet as he caught his breath.

Jack looked up at her soberly as he asked. "Are you going to stop acting like a child, and at least tell me why would you want to go back to your human home. Better than a faraway magical land where you will be a princess, that any normal person would be thrilled to have?" Amy pursed her lips in a thin line, refusing to tell him why she had to go back. Even if she could stay in this amazing but weird magical world, she would have to go back to her world at some point.

Even then she still would never have the guts to stand up to her step dad. Jack inquired which Amy already knew. "I can't help you, if you don't tell me what's wrong. No matter what you try or do you won't go back to your human world any time sooner. So might as well get over that idea, and tell me why you fear your human home so much." Amy refused and stayed silent as she tried to outwait Jack, but Jack had more patience than a lot of people and was going to wait. Jack threatened as he batted an eye at her. "Unless you want me to pick you up again, I suggest you start walking with me" Amy started marching down the path not waiting for him to start walking, she scowled loud enough for him to hear her on purpose. Jack caught up with her within a few footsteps, as he was quiet.

They walked in silence for an hour, neither of them giving in to change the silence.

As Amy's eyes were wandering to the trees beside her, taking a mental note that these were Coast Redwood and not Giant Sequoia trees. Jack came to a dead stop and slowly unbuckled the buckles on the backpack, about to pull out his sword. Amy turned her head to see a horrifying sight.

Dead remains showered a burned down village area.
