-Amy-

Inside the hut, the interior of the hut was just one big room. There wasn't much in the room.

On the left side of the room, in a tiny corner was a built-in fire place. It seemed to be like a rustic like scene with a roaring fireplace with glowing flames set in it. An iron cooking pot was suspended over the flames, bubbling with some stew that smelled unknown. In front of the fireplace sat a black flimsy metal chair, scratches and dents wore on its surface. It has a sleek but modern like look to it, it being a delicate piece of furniture.

My eyes scan over the room, noticing that every single wall space that was available and open had book shelves against the walls. Every wall had a book shelf, littered with old, modern, and brand-new books in it. None of the bookshelves were the same height nor the same color. Some were color coal-black, cinnamon brown, and pearl white. Others were scarlet red, emerald green, and lavender purple. Some bookshelves were as short as a toddler, other were as tall as the hut's ceiling. Then others were the height of the average person could reach the top of the shelf.

The bookshelves were all beautiful decorated, having marvelous designs on the inside or outside of them. Each of the bookshelves, has intricate carvings inlaid into the wood. Each carving looked to be designed carefully crafted to create a stunning display of artistry.

I couldn't believe such talent was put into every single bookshelf within the room.

Only other thing in the room, far to the right was a table. It looks to be a leather lab table, sturdy and durable. A luxurious piece of furniture that seems to fit with the rest of the room. The leather was smart, it was wipeable from any spill or stains that might occur on it.

Besides the leather lab table was a bookshelf filled with medical stuff. It was stocked with various medical tools and equipment. The bottom of the shelf was filled with textbooks, journals, research papers, and other literature related to the field. Bottles of medicine of all shapes and sizes were arranged neatly on the very top shelf.

The Healer snaps me out of my thoughts, smiling a full teeth grin that was an irresistible and endearing expression on her face. "I see you notice my bookshelves. You have the same passion for books as I do, I would assume? Ah let me not be such a bookworm. That will have to be set aside monetarily, let's heal your mate here."

I nod at her, returning her full grin. Being a little embarrassed by my obsession of looking at books.

I turn, looking at Jack and Leaf. My head tilt slightly, eyes narrowing as I focus on the boys. Leaf is still gawking at the Healer; while Jack stands tall.

His shoulders are back, his chest is out, his head held high. He does this even when I know his wound is killing him. I only knew because I could feel a stabbing like sensation in my side, the same side where he had gotten stabbed by the bottle.

The Healer shuffles over to the right side of the hut, where the leather lab table lies. "Come hither."

I rub my side, alleviating the ache as I tail her, the boys following in suit.

The Healer pats the table, her eyes flickering up to Jack as she signals for him to come here. Jack reluctantly treads over to the leather lab table; he gets on top of the table and lays flat like a board on it. His eyes still scans around the place, as if he was looking for sudden danger to pop out from the shadows.

Me and Leaf stand on the other side of the leather lab table. The Healer lifts up his shirt only stopping when the nasty wound is in full view. I witness the serene look on the Healer's face change to a look of dread and disbelief.

Jack grits his teeth, his face contorting into pain as the air exposure makes his wound feel like someone was poking a hot metal rod into it. I wince at the sudden change. The Healer's eyes dart up at me, noticing the wince.
