The bedroom door got slammed open, the lights were flickered back on.
Sir Parker came crashing in with fear but annoyance in his expression, as well as a bag in his hands.
Jack had already jumped up, he looked as if he was ready to fight anyone.
Sir Parker roared as he went to the book shelf. "The Midnight Checkers are invading this village. They are searching for Miss Amy."
Sir Parker's eyes quickly scanned the books and he shoved three to four books into the bag. Amy jumped out the bed as Sir Parker raced to Amy's side, shoving the bag into her arms and spoke frantically. "Everything you three need is in this bag. Miss Amy your weapon is in this bag, Jack and Leaf will have to train you while you three are on your travels."
Leaf came bomb raiding into the room as more screams outside were heard. "The mere idiots are lighting the whole village up in flames! I couldn't even get a single weep of shut eye, the bastards!"
Sir Parker spun around and shouted over the screams that sounded as if they were getting closer to the hut. "There are three horses in a stable around the corner from here. Take them and ride as fast as you can from this village, do not get caught!"
Jack moved in a flash, grabbing Amy by the wrist and dragging her out the room with Leaf right on their tails.
Amy cried out to Sir Parker. "Will you be safe?" Sir Parker gave her a small smile as he replied back. "Don't worry about me Miss Amy, I'll handle the bandits."
Jack rushed through the hallway with Amy and Leaf, making his way through the living room. He kicked open the front door, wasting no time with the lock on it.
Leaf shouted over the screaming that got ear shattering once they were outside. "Stay between us ma lady! I'll trail behind and make sure no mere soul follows us! Go!" The three of them raced to the stable around the corner of the hut.
Amy tried to keep her focus on just getting to the stable but her eyes trained on the chaos all around them. Huts and other building were getting burned to the ground, leaving only human and building remains behind. Some people managed to get out of the burning homes, but others weren't so lucky. The screams that was ear shattering was coming from people who had to watch their beloved ones get burned alive right in front of them, scared the flames would eat them alive as well if they tried to help. But the ones that's dared to help the flame eaten ones, was eaten alive as well with their partners.
Screams and cries, even pleads for any type of help were shouted from all directions of the village.
A part of Amy's heart broke as she knew this was only happening to this village because the bandits were trying to kidnap her.
The once beautiful village that had so many flowers blooming everywhere the eye could see, was now a burned down hell zone.
The three of them reached the stable but when Jack seen there was only two horses, he let out multiple curses.
The horse on the left was a beautiful pure raven black color, having a full brown colored saddle. The horse on the right was a dark brown and light brown mix, having one big white spot on the back of its right side.
Leaf demanded as he jumped on the horse to the right. "Take Amy with you Jack. I'll stay behind y'all and keep an eye out for if anyone tries following us!"
Jack dragged Amy over to the horse, he stuffed his foot into the saddle pedal and brought himself up on the horse. Jack leaned over, scrabbling as one of his hands grabbed Amy's wrist and then the other grabbed her waist, lifting her up and on the horse in front of him. Jack grabbed both of the horse's reins, whipping them down as the horse yelped, starting to move at a fast pace.
