-Jack-
It was around eight o clock, making it three hours that me and Amy was at it with her weapon.
Amy could barely swing the blade around without hitting herself. Every time she would swing it, it nearly took off her head.
I saved her over 38 times from chopping off one of her body parts.
If Sir Parker was here, he would be hearing an ear full of this is why we shouldn't have allowed her this weapon, it's chaotic.
Leaf would give a chuckle and a laugh every so often, especially after I would have to save Amy from killing herself about a million times.
I could see the determination in her eyes. She would try a new move at swinging the blade every single time the last move failed. I tried helping her but nothing I tried or did, helped.
I grit my teeth though every time I did try. The wound in my side was patched up but it continually stung and sent sharp pains throughout my entire body, blood gushed from the wound.
Blood soaks the bandage, threatening to leak out and leave crimson everywhere.
I try my best to hide the emotions of the pain from Amy, not wanting her to worry about the wound or feel guilty for it. Leaf would occasionally glance at me from time to time, thankfully he never spoke a word about if he felt my pain or not.
I know I was being hard headed about the wound but I didn't want to have to be the reason why we went into town to search for a healer. Possibly having Amy be seen or even possibly having something bad happen to her.
I was just going to wait it off to have this wound checked out until we reached the Royal castle. We only had a few days left of travel; I could easily just wait until then.
What was also frustrating is this weapon, I read through the books Sir Parker gave us. None of the books helped, neither did common sense. This weapon was simply pointless to learn, because even if you did learn how to work it, it simply would be useless in battle.
Leaf chuckles, I know he's laughing at the anger that's forming within me. Not understanding how to use something right away boiled my blood through every vein I had in my body. Through the whole training, Amy stayed completely silent. Never saying one word nor making any noise even when it came to her swinging her blade and almost cutting something off.
Amy sighs as she finally takes a break, setting her weapon aside as she mumbles. "My brain just won't click with how the weapon is supposed to be used."
I snarl at her with a salty glare. "Like I told you before, the weapon is completely pointless. It has no rules or guides on how your supposed to exactly swing it and hit where you want it to hit. I'm going to say it again, this weapon is completely pointless and absurd."
Amy just shakes her head and looks off into the distance, trying to think.
Leaf gives a cocky grin as he mentions. "It takes all the patience and time in thee world to train with a brand spanking new weapon like that one. Especially the Blades of Chaos like those are. You both just need all sorts of patience, which saying bleakly neither of you have such a thing."
Amy gives a big sigh and nods, agreeing with him.
I shoot Leaf a look but he just keeps that cocky smile of his on, like it's a mask. As I was about to shoot back a cocky comeback to match his cocky smile, a vividly long sting of pain shoots from my side, continuing to stretch its hellfire up and down my spine. Making me almost gasp for air as I try to keep the pain away from Amy so she can't sense it through the Lovemate system.
Even as I make my best attempt for her not to feel it, she still does.
A small gasp comes out from her as her hands whip to her side, holding it as she turns to look at me.
Even Leaf flinches at it, feeling the same pain I'm feeling. I close my eyes, wishing that moment didn't just happen because I predict what's probably about to happen next.
Amy stands up, loftily questioning me. "Your wound is worse than what I thought it was. Why didn't you say anything?"
I wave off her comment as I slowly move to go sit at the tree trunk. "I will have the wound looked at once we reach the castle. Until then, I don't have a single care for the thing. The wound is just a distraction to our travels."
Before I sit down, Amy has already made her way over to me, grabbing my forearm tightly as she insists. "The wound most likely has an infection from the beer bottle. We are getting you the medical help you need, no if ands or buts."
Leaf quickly added. "I did see with my lawful eyes that there is a healer within the town limits. We could simply get a wonderful healer to heal that nasty wound right up, Jackie."
Amy's warm hands were still tightly wrapped around my forearm, making my brain work in numerous ways as I protested to them both. "I will most definitely not put Amy in danger of being seen just so the wound on my side gets healed. It is not worth the risk."
Leaf quickly suggests before Amy can respond. "Then we shall all go at night fall, where no naked eye can see us. That fixes your little problem."
Amy nods, agreeing with the absurd shit spewing out of Leaf's mouth. She didn't know any better though, she didn't know about the dangerous stuff that happens once the sun sets. I went to argue some more about the fact that Leaf's little plan is quite literally an example of pure stupidness.
But she insists on worrying about me as she suggests. "Let me see the wound. If you're in that much pain, then you most likely have more than an infection. A worse infection that will soon be more than just you having short spams of pain."
I hesitate to answer her, trying to have patience with the fact that Amy doesn't understand that Leaf's plan is going to end us all with a worse wound than I have. Even with a plan of pure stupidness or not, Amy's still more worried about the wound on my side than her own safety.
That was going to be a big problem.
Leaf snorts as he sits back against the tree trunk, putting his hands behind his head as he relaxes. "Milady he might have one of those nasty brain eating infections in him. I would kind hardly suggest not touching a single part of the lad, he might also have other diseases within him."
My blood boils so much that I could swear that the vein I have in my forehead might pop at any second.
Amy must feel my strong flow of anger but she doesn't look angered as well, her eyes just glance towards me, she looks like she silently trying to question why I got so mad about Leaf spitting lies about me.
Leaf starts to laugh, realizing the emotions that's flowing in the air now. "Oh, Jackie knows I'm joking Milady. He just gets so mad because he doesn't want you to think he's been with other women. Oh, for the hell of things, Jackie poo has never even had a girl, let alone slept with one. For the longest time I ever thought my mate might be into lads but he doesn't even look at lads neither so."
Amy's eyes widen at his words, curiosity and confusion mixed within her expression that she's presenting to us.
Leaf laughs while I remain speechless, having so many emotions flare through me.
Although I had one strong emotion, I was very sure of, I wanted to rip Leaf's head off.
