Chapter 20.

Right now I am at work, and my shift is almost over. The day wasn't really exciting, nothing much happened after I teased Ryder. He just dropped me off here before driving off to work himself.

"Did you get laid?" Jake suddenly asked me and my head shot to him as I looked at him shocked.

"Why are you asking?"

"You look so happy that I would bet my ass that Ryder and you had some great sex." He said and I blushed hard while looking down, covering my face with my hand.

"No... but we kissed for the first time yesterday."

"First time?" Hailey asked and I now looked up again, nodding.

"I dont know why but the two of us took kinda long to finally kiss." I chuckled a bit and the two of them looked at me curiously.

"How was it?" Jake asked as Hailey leaned against him, looking at me.

"Well, it was definitely not sweet... it turned into a full make out session quickly." Both of their eyes widen a bit before they started to squeal.

Idiots. I love them though.

"You look so happy." Hailey smiled at me and I smiled back.

"I really am."

"You know what? You may leave earlier so you can get back to that husband of yours, we will close the shop." Hailey said with a smile and Jake nodded enthusiastically, and I just smiled widely at that.

"You sure?" I asked, and they just continued to nod.

"Have fun." I chuckled, texting Ryder to ask if he could pick me up.

Your Husband: sure cariño, I will be there in 10.

I smiled before looking up at my friends, putting my phone into my back pocket.

"He will be here in 10." I stated and both of them squealed again.

"Just so we make this clear right now, if you don't invite us to your wedding, I will kill you." Jake said with a serious look in his eyes, making me laugh softly.

"We are serious! I will help him hide the body." Hailey then said and the both of them high fived, making me laugh even more.

"Oh don't you worry, if we ever do get married the two of you will definitely be there." I said and smiled.

Atleast these two want me to be happy, not like that snake.

For a moment I thought back to my ex best friend and the whole situation with my ex, but then I snapped out of it, smiling.

I am happy, I don't need them and they aren't worth a thought.

After a few more minutes passed, Hailey and Jake almost kicked me out of the shop so I would go to Ryder, to which I just laughed.

I walked a bit away, to the spot where he said he would pick me up from. As I stood there, and it was already quite dark outside, I took my phone in my hand again and tried to distract myself while waiting.

Suddenly someone grabbed my arm, trying to pull me with them as I struggled to get out of his grip.

"Fuck off!" I screamed, trying to kick him but he dodged me. In the next moment he was behind me, his hand over my mouth as he tried to keep me quiet while pulling me with him.

I gave my best to get out of his grip, trying to kick him but he didn't seem to bother.

Ryder.

He was the only thought in my head in that moment as I felt tears building up in my eyes, still trying to fight the stranger behind me.

I need to get to Ryder.
