Chapter 24.

3 week time skip, the day before my birthday:

The last three weeks have been just perfect. I went to work with Ryder, and surprisingly we were a perfect team.

At first I thought we would distract each other a lot, but it wasn't like that at all. Oh well, sometimes we did distract each other, but it was not as close to what I thought beforehand.

Mei and I became close friends, spending every lunch break together when I wasn't eating with Ryder.

And the situation between Mei and Alejandro? Did not get any better, she still doesn't like him, but for now I thought that we were still not close enough to ask her something like that, but I will for sure ask her about it some time in the future.

I also met Ryder's mother again, Adriana, and the meeting wasn't bad at all. I think we got along quite well, even though she was still quite cold, but Ryder said that he thinks she really likes me, she just has problems with meeting new people.

Right now I was sitting on the couch that was in Ryder's office, flipping through some papers he wanted me to look through while he was at his desk, typing away on his laptop.

After some time he walked over to the couch, sitting next to me as he leaned over, pressing soft kisses onto my neck as I giggled a bit, looking over at him.

"Ryder, I need to concentrate." I said but he just smiled at me, leaning over and kissing my lips.

"Just pretend I am not here." He whispered into my ear and I chuckled softly before concentrating back on the papers, feeling his lips on my neck again, kissing me softly.

"We will go to greece today." He whispered into my ear, and when I finally realised what he said, my head shot to him, looking at him shocked.

"What?"

"You're turning 25 tomorrow cariño, and I planned a vacation for the two of us." He smiled at me and I looked at him, my eyes wide as my mouth hang open. He pushed my chin up so I closed my mouth again.

"What about work?" I asked and he started laughing.

"You remember who I am? This company belongs to me, I can definitely take some time off to make your birthday the best you've ever had." He smiled at me and in the next moment I wrapped my arms around his neck, kissing him passionately.

Somewhat the two of us ended up making out, him being on top of me as I clutched onto his clothes.

This man is too perfect.

Suddenly the door opened, and in the next moment I could hear someone gagging. We parted from one another, looking at the door just to see Alejandro bending over while holding his stomach.

"You two are desperate."

"Pendejo, why don't you fucking knock?!" Ryder asked, getting off the couch as he walked over to his brother.

Alejandro's eyes widened and in the next moment he turned around and ran out of the room, making me laugh out loud.

Ryder closed the door again, rolling his eyes as he walked over to me, sitting down next to me.

"So... what do you think?" He smiled at me and I chuckled.

"I thought the kiss was answer enough." He grinned a bit, leaning closer as he whispered against my lips: "Kiss me again just to make sure."

I chuckled and just when I wanted to kiss him again, there was a knock on the door. I took the papers back into my hands, reading through them while Ryder stood up.
