Chapter 41.

"What?"

"Now that we are having a baby, it feels like the only right thing to do." He said and I couldn't believe his words. I just stared at him in disbelief.

"And it's not like I didn't plan to marry you some day, so we would only do it sooner than planned." He said and when he saw the look of disbelief in my eyes he quickly added: "But of course I also want you to want it, so when you say you don't want to marry me then I won't push you, mi amor."

He pressed a soft kiss onto my temple after he said that, but I could see the hurt in his eyes when he said that out loud. And yet, I loved the fact that he wasn't pushing me to so something I didn't want.

"It's not like I don't wanna marry you... it's just so sudden. Especially now that I just found out that I am pregnant." I explained while looking into his eyes and he nodded before sighing.

"You're right, I should have thought about that. I am sorry. We should talk about this some other time."

"I definitely wanna marry you, don't get me wrong. Just give me some time to think about this, okay querido?" I said while smiling at him softly and he nodded. I pressed a soft and quick kiss onto his lips before laying down again and making myself comfortable.

After just a short time I fell asleep because of how mentally exhausted I was.

Next morning:

I woke up at around 4 am due to the urge to throw up, quickly running into the bathroom as I sat in front of the toilet and threw up.

After a few moments I felt a presence behind me, his hand wrapping around my hair as he held it up while his other hand rubbed my back softly.

He just stayed quiet while I leaned over the toilet. My stomach was feeling all weird and I had that disgusting feeling in my throat.

I quickly flushed the toilet before getting up and standing in front of the mirrow. I grabbed my toothbrush and brushed my teeth while he stayed behind me, his arms wrapped around my waist as he leaned his chin against my shoulder.

"I am sorry that you have to go through that." He then whispered before pressing a soft kiss onto my shoulder, and I raised my other hand up to his head, placing it in his hair as I ruffled it a bit.

When I finished I spitted the toothpaste into the sink before washing my mouth and then going back into bed with Ryder.

"Come here." He whispered while pulling me back into his warm embrace and I closed my eyes while sighing and just letting myself relax against him.

The amount of love I have for this man is indescribable. I feel so incredibly safe whenever I am in his arms, I can't describe how at peace I feel whenever he is close to me.

After a short time I fell asleep again, sleeping peacefully. But only a few hours later our alarm was ringing, telling us that it was time for work.

I quickly turned off the alarm before huffing and turning around to face Ryder, seeing him already looking at me, a worried look on his face.

"Do you wanna stay home today? I mean-"

"Querido, I love you. You know I do. But please don't be extra careful with me now that I am careful. So many women work while they are pregnant, so don't start with this now." I said while smiling at him, leaning down to press a soft kiss onto his lips before getting out of bed.

"Okay then." He mumbled before also getting lut of bed. The two of us got ready for work before going downstairs and quickly eating breakfast with Alejandro before we all made our way to work.
