Chapter 10.

We basically called again after his meeting, for a long time. And before I ended the call, I told him that I left a suprise in his car, under the passenger seat.

Right now I am on my way to work. I had a pretty decent makeup on, my hair in a messy bun while I had my bag over my shoulder.

I yawned, entering the coffee shop as I saw my two coworkers standing there. Hailey and Jake are probably my favourite coworkers, we have almost every shift together and the most fun together.

"Whats up bitches." I said as the two of them looked at me with bright eyes.

"Vic! We missed you!" Hailey hugged me tightly before Jake did the same. We prepared the coffee shop for opening, and while doing that we talked.

"In your freaking bed?" Hailey looked at me in disbelief as I shrugged.

"I already ordered a new one, as if I ever sleep there again." I shuddered a bit at the thought.

"I also have an appointment later so they change the keys, just to make sure that bastard never enters my apartment again." I said as I cleaned the table with a wet rag.

"Go queen!" Jake says, before going back to placing the cakes in the counter.

Jake is gay, and that's probably one of the reasons why the three of us get along this good. I looked over at him, sighing a bit.

"You literally always told me that you had a bad feeling about Daniel, and what did I do? Not listen to you."

"See? Learn from your mistakes, Jake always tells the truth." He winked at me, making me and Hailey laugh out as we continued getting the coffee shop ready.

I also did tell them about Ryder... I mean how couldn't I?

"He sounds like a dream." Hailey said in a dreamy tone, making me raise an eyebrow at her.

"He's my dream, keep that in mind."

"Wow, Vic is already claiming him as hers." I looked over at Jake, just to see him laughing.

"Don't worry, he's all yours, just let your friend dream." She said while fake crying. I just shook my head before slapping the back of her head.

"Now shut up the two of you, we open now." I said while walking over to the door, flipping the sigh from 'closed' to 'open'.

We all stood behind the counter, waiting for the first costumers to come. As I knelt down and looked through the boxes that were under the counter, searching for something, I suddenly heard both of my coworkers inhale sharply.

"He's an fucking adonis." I heard Jake whispering.

"God." I then heard Hailey whisper.

"Who?" I whisper-screamed, wanting to get up as I banged my head against the counter, falling back onto my ass.

"Oh fuck." I rubbed my head, whining slightly.

"Vic are you okay?" Jake asked me, kneeling down next to me as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

"Everything alright, mama is okay." I said, letting him help me stand up. The 'mama' was an insider of us, because I'm older than the two and always have to take care of them, otherwise they would probably manage to set the whole building on fire.

And when I then saw who was standing there, my mouth opened and I stared at him. He grinned at me, again wearing a tight suit, this time in dark blue though.

God how can someone be so sexy-?

"Well hello, if it isn't my handsome husband." I said after a while, leaning a bit over the counter while leaning my elbow on the counter, my chin resting against my hand.

"Buenos días cariño, can I get a black coffee please?" He smiled at me, looking so breathtaking. I nodded before turning around, seeing the two looking at me with open mouths as I made an black coffee for Ryder.

"You're pretty much obsessed with me, aren't you?" I asked with a small smirk as I turned around, leaning my hip against the counter behind me. He grinned at me, slightly cocking his head to the side.

"Am I that obvious?"

"More than that. But don't worry, I don't mind." I winked at him before taking his coffee, putting a lid on it before giving it to him.

I leaned over a bit again, grinning at him.

"Now tell me, how did you find out that I work here?"

"Well you told me it was closely to your apartment, so I just went to every coffee shop close by your apartment." I giggled at that, sending him a smile.

"I have a offer for you." He then said, motioning for me to come to one of the tables with him. I looked at Hailey and Jake questioning, seeing both of them nod immediately before I walked over to Ryder, sitting down opposite from him.

"I thought about what you said." He started while looking at me serious. "About the fact that you need a better job soon, I could give you one."

My eyes widen slightly at what he said, looking at him in disbelief.

"Like I said, the company is mine, and if you want me to just say the words and I will get you a job." He said, his eyes staring deep into mine. I smiled softly before taking his hand into mine, playing with the ring that was on his finger.

"I'm really thankful for that offer Ryder, but I don't think I can accept that." He furrowed his eyebrows confused while looking at me.

"I wanna do this on my own, you know? You don't even know if I am good enough for the job, you wanna give it to me because... I don't know, you like me. And I really appreciate that, but I wanna get myself a job that I managed to get by myself, you know?" I said, still smiling at him. He nodded before leaning closer, pressing a soft kiss onto my forehead.

"Another reason why I like you, you're independent." He whispered into my ear and I giggled. I then looked into his eyes again, squeezing his hand a bit.

"So you helping me with the bed tomorrow?" I then changed the topic, looking at him while tilting my head a bit to the side.

"Yes, and like I said I will bring my friend and probably Alejandro with me to help. Why do you even need to get the bed out? Is it broken?"

"When I caught my ex cheating on me, it was in my bed. And now I don't wanna sleep on it no more." I said and he nodded.

"Understandable. Like I said, don't worry about that, I will take care of it." Just as he wanted to say something else, his phone rang in his pocket. He sighed before pulling it out, looking at the caller ID.

"I need to get going now, text me when you get home safely sí?" I just nodded while watching him stand up, turn around and go.

But before he left the shop he seemed to remember something, so he turned around again and walked over to me. He stood right in front of me, making me look up at him as he leaned down and whispered into my ear.

"By the way, thank you for the suprise, but I would have rather seen that red lace on you." He pressed a soft kiss onto my cheek before now really leaving the shop, leaving me there all flustered and red.
