Fathom
Me and Darkstalker both ran to the phone to try and call some people to help transport Clearsight to the nurse's office
We ended up colliding head on with each other, almost sending all three of us to the nurse's office.
Darkstalker let me do the calls while he went to go tend to Clearsight; making sure she wasn't injured badly or something like that.
I had no idea who to call. I finally settled on pressing a random button and hoping that whoever picks up is nice enough to help out some strangers.
The phone kept ringing. Finally, someone picked up.
"Your call has been sent to the Princess's dorms. Please wait a minute." Something clicked, then someone answered, "Princess Moon here, we are quite busy at the moment, please call back." She was about to hang up when I called,
"Moon! Princess Moon!"
I could almost see her frown. "Who is this?" She asked
"Fathom," I said. I had no idea what kind of regulations were to addressing the princesses, so I guessed they were 'your highnesses' "your highness. Clearsight has fainted. Me and Darkstalker alone aren't enough to carry her all the way to the infirmary."
There was a bit of shuffling, then Tsunami was on the phone. "Can't you two just change into dragon form?" She asked
"Darkstalker is too big for that," I said worriedly. "You saw how big he was on stage, he'll bust open the walls if he transforms here, your highness."
"What about you?" Tsunami asked, clearly liking the 'your highness' title.
"I can try-" I concentrated and felt the dragon magic seep into me again. At once, i was my dragon self, and I carefully walked up to Darkstalker.
I nodded at Clearsight, then gestured to my back.
Darkstalker shook his head. "You're too wiry and thin for that."
In other cases that would have been an insult, but here, it was just a sinking feeling that I couldn't help. I shifted back into a human and said to Tsunami,
"I'm too small and Darkstalker is too big,"
Tsunami snorted. "Alright, we're sending people down." She hung up.
A few minutes later, someone knocked on the door and a group of people streamed through the door.
One of them looked like he was going to graduate this year.
He shifted into a dragon; a deep brown and golden MudWing, and the people started to work. They cast a thick layer of padding across his back and secured it with straps and attached handles to the padding.
"Get her onto this," the lead person said. His hair was fringed with shades of blue. He caught me staring. "I'm Bullfrog. I'm a RainWing." He slipped a stiff sheet of fabric underneath Clearsight when none of us moved.
Darkstalker immediately helped Bullfrog lift up the fabric and transported her to the dragon's back.
On the way to the nurse's office, Bullfrog explained some stuff to us.
"The MudWing you see there is Morass," Bullfrog said, pointing to the MudWing. "He's graduating this year, so we're going to have Clay take his place as head Transporter."
He sounded so serious about a Transporter being a real job in this school that I almost laughed out loud.
I glanced at Darkstalker, who looked like his name at the moment, dark and looking like a stalker.
🧐
"Hey bud," I said to him. "What's wrong?"
Darkstalker glared up at me. "They did this."
I took a step back. "Who did what?"
"The princesses and the icy prince," he growled. "They never trusted us so they took away Clearsight,"
I glanced around but everyone near us was engaged in other conversations. "Darkstalker, that's not true. The princesses helped us take care of Clearsight. Why would they harm her?
"Because they know Clearsight can see all their secrets and futures," Darkstalker growled.
"They have Moon to see their futures," I said soothingly. "Even if Clearsight can see their secrets, the princesses aren't that bad. They would go as far as deliberately harming her. Plus, who knows? Maybe Clearsight just collapsed because of the amount of visions. This has happened before."
"But isn't it suspicious that not even an hour into our stay in the room one of us has fainted?"
Oh dear moons.
I wished Indigo were here. She was with us when we first landed here, but then she vanished after our first visit to a school in Pyrrhia, Jade Academy.
"We came here to this school to look for indigo," I said to Darkstalker. "Focus on that. Focus on how bright our futures will be once we get out of here."
