Turtle

Anemone is an animus.

I couldn't exactly wrap my head around that fact.

Despite the fact that I am an animus too.

I mean, it was just a theory.

Moon told me that in one of her future readings.

So once I stepped up after my numerous brothers and found out I was an animus, I wasn't as shocked as Anemone was when she found out about her powers.

Coral hugged me and Anemone which made me feel very special.

None of the other princes managed to get The Coral Hug.

Despite the 😦 look on Anemone's face, she squeezed my hand and gave me a reassuring smile.

Excooose me.

Remind me again who the older kid is?

I glanced at Tsunami.

The one who had her entire destiny laid in front of her. She was the oldest living daughter of Coral.

She was going to inherit the company one day.

Now Turtle really believed he could be equals to his three sisters, despite Auklet being one year old.

The rest of the dragons went along in a blur.

I'll only describe my friends then.

Glory and Kinkajou could shift colors so their scales were going a mile a minute, but Glory was a medium sized dragon, a little smaller than Tsunami and a lot smaller than Clay, and Kinkajou was a little over half the size of Glory.

Clay was larger than Tsunami which is saying a lot and  Starflight was smaller than tsunami but bigger than Sunny. And riptide and the other boys were bragging how 'handsome they were'.

Later that night I sneaked up onto a balcony with Moon's permission. I gazed up at the stars and listened to the crickets chirping.

Then I was aware of someone talking below me. I perked up and listened closely. To my immense surprise it was Anemone and Tamarin.

"What does it feel like to be the most important princess of the SeaWings?" Tamarin was asking politely.

Anemone snorted. "Most important is far from what I am."

Tamarin shook her head.

Anemone went on. "I still have to compete for the company and even then Tsunami is guaranteed a win. Even Turtle is an animus now."

My stomach turned. Even turtle.

What the fudge does that mean.

I shrugged and walked back into the school.

Kinkajou was still awake when I entered my room.

"Hi," she said absently.

"Hi," I said.

I got redressed (IN THE DARK. SHUT UP) and climbed onto my bed.

We were quiet for a moment.

Then we fell asleep.

Yeah.

The next morning I was awoken by a lot of shouting.

I got up, dressed,  (Kinkajou was awake and in the kitchen) and went out.

Tsunami and Glory were yelling about something.

"THE MATH ISNT MATHING," Tsunami was shouting.

"OF COURSE THE APPLE WOULD ROT," Glroy yelled back. "ITS BEEN ON THAT COUNTER SINCE WE GOT HERE,"

Tsunami grabbed the rotten apple from the couch and lobbed it into the trash can.

Winter went :O mode.

Sunny, Clay, and Riptide were in the kitchen making breakfast.

Kinkajou was getting more apples.

"The math is supposed to math," Tsunami insisted. "It's only been there for three months,"

"The apple isn't appleing," Glory said.

"Yes." Tsunami Said.

Starflight was on the couch reading and eating some fried chicken.

Bruhhh

Who knew Starflight could eat fried food.

"Time for breakfast!!" Kinkajou bellowed, over her sister's yelling.
