~Jeff's POV~
I had just placed the kid onto their couch. Brian had a young girl at his side. I liked her, I wanted her. I watched carefully as she carefully stitched Toby's leg. Brian handed her a small tube of antibiotics. She began to rub in into his leg. "Brian who's this?" I asked as he turned to look at me."Zero, she's a newer recruit." Brian said before turning back to direct the girl.
"I'd like to rub my cream all over you." I said in a snarky tone.
"Ingore him. You're doing great." Brian said as she finished wrapping Toby's wound. "Now Zero go home. The elites need to converse." Brian said as she quickly turned to leave the cabin.
"Can I escort her home?" I asked Brian, but the anger on his face could have killed with a glance.
"No Jeff this involves you too." He said with cruelty in his tone. The girl walked out of the cabin. I watched her through the window. She entered the joint cabin with the other newbies. "Toby we know what you've done. We know you stole the file and we know you stole Jeff's handheld. Explain yourself." Brian ordered.
"I just got the radio's mixed up. It was a mistake." Toby pleaded with the angered male. Brian blows small shit out of proportion sometimes, he's always been like that.
"Toby you have really acted out these past few days. Your behaviors have been unacceptable. I expected better out of you." Brian said as he looked at the boy dauntingly. "You're on probation for your actions. You must have an escort from cabin to cabin. You are not permitted to go anywhere, but your cabin, Jeff's and ours in emergencies. If you are seen by the shed or in the field you will be shot without question. If step out of line you will also be shot. Am I clear?" He loomed like a shadow in the room. He kind of scared me a little.I looked over at Toby as he nodded nervously. "Good now go to your cabin. I will watch your every step." Brian said as Toby struggled to stand from the couch. He limped out of the cabin filled with fear.
"That seemed harsh Brian. I mean he's a kid still." I said as I met eyes with the angered male. "He likes you throw him a bone once and awhile."
"I most certainly will not "throw him a bone". He was given what he deserved. No further questions I am going to bed now. You two can discuss that matter without me." Brian said before rushing off to their room. I looked over at a shocked Tim.
"Drink?" I asked him trying to break the silence. Tim nodded softly as he walked to their liquor cabinet. Damn these two drink a shit ton. That thing is always fully stocked every time I am in here. He grabbed an unlabeled bottle from it before leading me outside. I snatched the bottle from him. "So how do you feel about Brian's decision?"
"It could have been worse." Tim said as I took a swig of the bottle. "He could have finished him off in there."
"He hesitated. I saw that he wanted too, but he held back and instead just put him on a very strict probation." I said as Tim took the bottle from me.
"I saw that too." Tim looked at the bottle. "Maybe he should lay off on some of the substance. He has been more irritated lately. His emotions switch on the spot."
"Can I ask you for advice?" I changed the subject.
"Shoot." He said as we heard the cabin door creek open. Brian walked straight from the door to Tim's arms. He reached into Tim's jacket and stole his lighter. He pulled a joint from his pocket.
"I didn't know you still did that stuff. Is it good?" I asked as he light the end. He nodded as he took a puff. "Anyway how does one know, not me, if they are in love?"
"Well since its not you. I would say to tell this person to just go for it. That's what I did." Tim said as Brian leaned his back into Tim's chest. "Its worked so far." He said as he looked down at Brian. I was jealous of what they had. They loved each other. Even after all the shit he had put Brian through.
"You know when you would kill, die and give anything for them." Brian said as he looked at me. "I would give everything to protect Tim. Including all of you, if it were to come to that."
"Harsh Brian. I though we were friends." I chuckled softly as I looked at him. He looks so exhausted now days. His face seemed to have a shadow over it. His eyes are no longer full of life and hope like they were many years ago, or even last year.
"That's what love does to you. Was that helpful?" Brian asked as he took another long puff.
"It was. How old is Zero? She looks really young." I said nervously.
"File says eighteen. Why?" Tim said as he looked up at me.
"She's attractive, but I didn't want to make a move if she was a child. I may be a killer, cannibal, and a list of other things, but I am no pedo." I rubbed my arm nervously. I felt Brian's gaze on my hand.
"Let her finish training before making anything official." Brian said sternly. "We don't want the others thinking she's getting special treatment. Also you have to keep all of the elite information from her. Am I clear?"
"Yes Brian." I said. "Thank you for the advice." I said before I stepped off their porch. I watched the couple as I walked away. Tim kissed him gently before Brian put out the joint. They walked back into their cabin. Jealous filled me as I opened the door to my cabin.
