The next night I am sitting at the head table waiting for my other elites. Zero wasn't allowed to sit with me because of her rank. I saw Brian and Tim approaching. They were acting like nothing happened. Brian said next to me and Tim sat on his other side.

"How's it been?" Brian asked me.

"Good a few of the kids were grinding on the cage earlier." I looked over at him as food was brought to them. "Master hasn't shown so tonight should be good."

"Good." He said as he stood up. "I'll be back." Brian said as he walked off pulling a cigarette from his box in his pocket. I cut my eyes at Tim. He was watching the females in the compound dance around the fire.

"You want me to beat your ass again?" I ask as I stab my knife into the table.

          "I'm not sleeping with them."

"You're thinking about it though. You shouldn't involve a bunch of women. You don't want the whole compound on Brian's shit list." I said sternly and with disrespect. "If you truly cared for Brian you wouldn't do that too him."

"Why do you care so much? Brian is fine." He said defensively. I looked at him and sighed heavily. He must not know Brian very well than. Brian return and he smelt heavy with pot and cigarette smoke. "You smoking again? What you can't bring yourself to stop?"

I went to get up but Brian shot me a look that was a signal to stay seated. I adjusted back into my seat. Brian looked out at the kids enjoy themselves. He sat down but I saw him put more weight on his right side as he leaned towards me. Normally he sits straight. "Jeff remember I don't need you to attack on my behalf." He said softly.

Later in the evening only a few of us remained. Brian,Tim, Toby, Natalie, X Virus, Zero and myself. We all sat around the fire talking. Zero was cuddled into my side. She sat up and looked at Brian who was lighting a blunt.

"Aw shit didn't know you weren't stuck up all the time." Natalie joked softly. I scoffed at her comment. Brain took a puff then handed it to me first.

"Sir can I ask you a question?" Zero looked at Brian. I got kind of nervous what she was about to ask.

"I'm not working it's Brian." He corrected.

"Brian how did you two meet?" She asked as she moved to the other side of me so she was next to Brian.

"We knew each other long before contracting the sickness. I woke up in the woods in this area, when I got here there was one cabin. It is actually my cabin now. I would wake up there at random times. I started stealing Tim's pills to help with my seizers that I would get at times. I killed a few of our friends, I was chased, I jumped out of a second story window and here I am." Brian said, Tim looked away from Brian with regret.

"Tim are you okay?" Natalie asked the taller male.

"Brian you didn't tell the whole truth." Tim said and Brian looked up at him. Of course Tim likes to bring the attention back to him.

"What is the truth?" Zero asked as I hit her thigh.

"Jeff she wants to know it is no secret."Tim said. He sighed loudly. "I chased him out of that window. I am the reason he fell. I rushed down the stairs to see if I had just killed a man. I pulled his mask back and he was there, lifeless. A few months after that I went into the woods and I found him here, so I joined him." Tim said and Brian took a sip of the bottle in his hand.

"How did you feel once you found out it was him?" Toby asked and the couple looked at the boy.

"I was devastated." Tim said as he took the bottle from Brian. "How would you feel if you killed your best friend?"

"I thought you two were a couple?" Zero asked.

"We are, but before Tim joined me we were very close friends. He wasn't into dudes before me. We've been together for like what? Eight, nine years." Brian said. I shot a glance at Tim. He still didn't like guys Brian and I both knew that. "We got together right before Jeff came. He was only fifteen when he came here. We all slept in the one cabin. You remember that Jeff?"

"I remember alright. The cabin didn't even have a door until we built my cabin. It was so cold in there, all year round." I chuckled. "The mattress I used in their cabin is the one in my living room. We started to build my cabin when you two got serious."

"I remember Jeff going through the end of puberty. A bleached cut up boy with voice cracks, it was hilarious. Those were the days." Tim said looking at me with a hateful eyes.

"Weren't there people here before you guys?"Toby asked.

"They weren't human they did not need shelter. Puppeteer has not left his cabin in days, he'll only one out if Slender tells him too. He refuses to listen to me."

"Before the compound grew Jeff, Brian and myself all slept in that cabin." Tim said as he looked back at Natalie.

"I remember you tried to murder Tim your first night here. You were so uneasy, until we showed you our way of life." Brian said as me passed the blunt back to him. The teens sitting across from them looked offended. Zero cuddled closer to my side. "You kids are not hitting this you have training in the morning. Y'all probably should head to your cabins." Brain said taking a long drag. "Go home that's an order." Toby and clock stood and walked to their cabins. Zero went to stand. "You can stay Zero." She sat back down next to me.

"Don't I have training in the morning?" Zero asked shyly.

"No sweet cheeks you do not. You're on my squad remember. We train on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tomorrow is Monday. They are on Brians squad, you got lucky they train every day." I said looking at the teen. "You're gonna run those kids to death."

"Who has the lowest mortality rate?" Brian said sarcastically. "I do." We all continued talking throughout the night. Zero had fallen asleep on my chest. Brian and Tim were extremely high. "Jeff man were gonna go to bed."Brian said as he stumbled to get off the ground. He helped Tim stand, they walked back to their cabin. I picked up Zero carefully and returned to my cabin.
