ERIN WAITED FOR BRUCE, sitting on her bike. Her feet planted on the ground, hands resting on the handle. She saw Gwen and Finney walk by, it looked like Finney was rambling about something and Gwen looked over at Erin "help me" she mouthed.
Erin smiled and chuckled "I'm sorry I can't" she mouthed back before Bruce showed up in her vision on his bike.
He stopped in front of her "ready to go?" he asked, the girl nodded and placed her feet on the pedals.
The two rode at the same speed but Bruce was going a bit faster. All of a sudden Bruce started pedaling faster and started laughing, Erin gasped as she held onto the handles tighter "you son of a bitch!" she started pedaling faster trying to keep up with him.
All Erin could hear was the wind blowing in her face and Bruce's laughter. Soon Bruce slowed down, Erin panted as she pedaled at the same speed as Bruce "that was not funny, Yamada" she panted.
"It was pretty funny to me" he smiled.
Erin just shook her head and continued to ride her bike.

They arrived at the ice cream shop, set their bikes on the nearest pole, and put their bike locks on. Bruce opened the door for her "such a gentleman" she teased. He playfully rolled his eyes and followed the girl inside.
They ordered their ice cream and went outside to sit at one of the tables. "Finney almost had you with those two strikes" Erin laughed.
"It was embarrassing but the home run took the embarrassment away," he said "so, how's the Billy thing going?" he asked softly.
Erin looked down at her cup of ice cream sighing before answering "It's going fine" she started "but everyone is treating me like I was the one who got kidnapped. My mom tried putting me in therapy and every time I do something wrong my parents think that it was due to the lack of sleep which is not true because I'm sleeping perfectly fine, and the last test we took for Mr. Johnson, I know I got like five of the answers wrong and yet he still marked it as 20 out of 20 because he felt bad for me" she rambles.
"Is that why you looked so confused when you got the test back?" he asked. Erin nodded in response "none of this feels real" the girl looked up at him "the whole Grabber thing, it doesn't feel real, and the fact that it is real, just makes it scarier."
"Well, he's gonna quit eventually," she said.
Erin saw three girls that were at the game start walking into the shop "hey Bruce" they all said in sync.
