IT'S BEEN TWO DAYS after spending some time with the Yamadas and Erin was officially back at work.

Every time she would look over the pinball machine all she could think about was how not a single soul has touched it after Vance went missing.

The score was the same as the last time Vance used it. Erin did question if she had feelings for him at some point only to realize that it was just a normal feeling.

Even though they didn't consider themselves friends, that didn't stop Erin from missing him. Since there were no more fights to watch Erin starts to feel bored from time to time.

She mostly spends her time behind the counter, reading a magazine as she waited for a customer to finish shopping and pay.

The bell from the door rang, notifying Erin that someone has walked in. Erin looked up from the magazine and saw Bruce frantically walking up to the girl.

"Please tell the slush machine is open," he said.

Erin chuckled and nodded as she watched the boy sigh with relief and jog over to the machine.

"Hey, Erin. Could you do me a favor and finish restocking? I have to take my daughter to an appointment" Erin's boss says.

"Yeah sure" the girl smiled and she walked out from behind the counter and walked over to the aisle where the two boxes sat on the ground.

She picked up one of the boxes and opened it. She placed the items on the correct shelf when she saw Bruce walk up to her with a cup in his hand.

"So" he started "I saw a new family move into my neighborhood, I assume they're from Arizona since their car had an Arizona plate," he said "nothing new."

"That's new, not a lot of people are from Arizona here," Erin said.

"True, but still, we don't know a lot of people from Arizona. I wanna know if it's actually that hot there" Bruce said causing Erin to roll her eyes as she restocks the bags of candy.

"Do I still have to pay for this?" Bruce asked Erin pointing to the cup in his hand. Erin laughed and nodded "dammit" he mumbled quietly "can't I have like a best friend discount or something?"

Erin looked at him with a 'seriously?' look "those don't exist, well at least here. If you want a discount, work here then you'll get an employee discount" Erin suggested.
