Breakfast Date

Waking up, she finished her morning routine , right now thinking about what to have for breakfast. She always has it with her boyfriend and just right on time her phone got a message by her one and only. She moved towards the window to look down searching for the handsome man leaning against the car with as much as no care in the world.

His eyes moved up from the message he was typing and his lips stretched into a smile as soon as he spotted her darling. He mouthed her "I'm waiting."

She bid goodbye to her roommate and came to him and almost as if it's a habit, his hand instantly made their way around her waist.

"Tae, what are you doing here?" she asked even though she knew the answer to it.

"Good Morning to you too, my love" he kissed her left cheek and lips stretched into a beautiful boxy smile. She reciprocated the kiss and smiled up at him. But her smile fell and eyebrows narrowed trying to portray her anger. He smiled as if expecting the reaction.

"I know you must've a lot of questions for me but before that how about some breakfast?" he raised his eyebrows.

"Where are we going?"
"Depends on what would you like to have?"
"How about some hot butter pancakes and berries."
"I know just the perfect place, come on. Hop in." 

The car ride was mostly silent as they listened to the songs playing, exchanging few glances. The café was quite private, it was spacious and empty except for few people. They took the corner table at the end with big plants on the side blocking the vision of others towards them; perfect. She was busy admiring the interior when the order got placed.

"How was the surprise?" he asked grinning.
"Well, it was a shock indeed. I am angry with you for not telling me about it before, I'm excited to work with you and I'm way too scared."

He held her hand in his, kissing the back of her palm and slowly tracing her knuckles to subside her anger and calm her.
"What are you scared of, Ari?" he asked with concern in his eyes.

"I mean the whole merger will be quite profitable but at the same time it'll be challenging. Hiding our relationship from the world and working together will make it so much complicated. What if our professional life together will take a toll on our personal."

"Oh Darling, I've put enough thoughts into this and took the decision. We'll just keep both the lives separate, no discussing work at home. As for the bond that we share, would you like to make it official to people?"

"No Tae, of course not. You know I respect privacy as much as you do, I can't bear people analyzing every action of ours. I meant how are we supposed to pretend like strangers as if we don't know the color of each other's underwear."

At that he let out a hearty laugh, "What a weird explanation?"

He held both of her hands and squeezed them lightly to assure her,
"Love, we are together in this, we can certainly act like colleagues and it won't be a problem as we both are professional. How about we enjoy the food for now together before starting our day."

It maybe because he spoke so softly that it made her mind calm down eventually. The man sitting across was the sweetest when it comes to her, she adored the man so much, it made her sure that they'll get through it as always. She was happy, happy to share a partnership with him.

They got back to office, one entered five minutes late than the other. The building was in chaos, so many people both inside and outside. Not a day after the merger was announced there were reporters for interviews.

The people from the other company joined them. They were going to have meeting about the new employees.

Aerum was seated in the meeting room with Jimin and Jiwon next to her. She wont lie but she was a bit anxious about the new people, her boyfriend's company is well known for their marketing department, she never backs from any competition but the 'Kim's' as they three call everyone who came from the others business were very well known not that they were any less. The door opened and in came four people, two tall girls, one short girl and a tall guy along with their CEO.

Taehyung face blank as usual but he glanced towards her once before taking his place at the center of the table.
"Good Morning everyone. We've gathered here today for the introductory of the marketing team with each other. Let's start by the names shall we, Ms. Lee?" 

Ari and her team introduced themselves.

"Hello everyone, I'm Choi Soobin. Let's all work together." The youngest of them spoke, the guy looked like a freshie.

"Hello, I'm Lee Sung Kyung" the tall girl next to him said as if not interested in the whole thing.

"Hello everyone, my name is Shin Hari, I'm very excited to work with you all, let's do it." quite cheerful, the short one.

The last tall girl with sharp eyes and cold look on her face was next,
"Hello, I'm Kim Jennie. The head of marketing department."

That made Ari and her friends jolt up in their seat. She looked towards her boss as if to confirm if she heard something else but a nod in return confirmed she heard it right.

Before they get more confused, taehyung cleared,
"Because the merger happened so fast and unexpected, both the head of the companies will work together with their team for now."

"But isn't it supposed to be only one head per department" the sharp eyes asked.

"Yes, and that's how it will be Ms. Kim, but that will be announced in the next evaluation report, who from you and Ms. Lee will deserve that position. For now guys let's all work together and come up with new plans. Get to work and Good luck."

He said as he left the room not before looking towards his girlfriend who just scoffed at him as if saying 'What a betrayal'. Everyone got silent glare thrown towards each other but got down to work in their cabin.

"Huh. Of course, the breakfast date, waiting for me and the sweet gestures, he knew what was about to come." Ari muttered to herself rolling her eyes. She'll see to it later but for now she had a lot to do.
