Omega Earth:

2 months have passed since Reyna made her last encounter with the alternate universe's healer. That encounter was one of the things she thought the most of, but definitely not more than her own lover.

Every day since the encounter, Reyna has been a bipolar mess. Death glaring anyone that came near or passed her, lashing out verbally and physically, overall being a pain.

Other protocol agents have tried to provide her assistance and reassurance with her troubles, but they succeeded to no avail.

The only one to ever calm Reyna down was Sage. The healer had a unique way about herself that captivated nearly every agent's attention, the most being the duelist. She always settled down and listened when told to by Sage without hesitation.

But nowadays, Reyna has been causing internal havocs within the protocol building. And to make matters worse for the latter, the protocol has decided to replace Sage with a lookalike-- Sage's cousin.

Sage's cousin's name was Ming, and she possessed similar radianite powers to Sage. Although Skye's healing was good, it wasn't always as efficient as Sage's, and now Ming's as well.

However, the impact this created on Reyna was heavy. The similarity in looks and abilities between Sage and Ming drove the duelist more agitated. If there was one person in the protocol that she despised the most, it would have to be Ming, and it was undeniably clear.

Reyna always refused medical treatment from Ming when returning from missions scarred and beaten. Rather, she was set on going to Skye for her wounds instead. If Ming were to pass the duelist in the hallways, Reyna would either ignore her presence completely or glare at her.

There had been a night where the protocol was celebrating for multiple successful missions in a row against their alternate universe, and Yoru had spilled his drink on Reyna accidentally, causing a lashing out from the latter.

Ming came to her side to help assist her with cleaning the mess, but almost instantly, Reyna roughly pushed her away. Ming and other protocol agents were taken aback from the sudden roughness, as the empress agitatedly scoffed and turned around to Ming.

"You will never have a rightful place here. Don't forget that you're only a replacement." Was the last thing that Reyna said for the night, before walking back to her respective room.

The tension in the air was nerve wrecking. If the agents would see aura coming off from Reyna, then there would be an unbelievable amount of it, driven from anger.

Tears could visibly be seen forming in Ming's eyes, as the rest of the agents were watching in disbelief. Killjoy and Neon almost instantly rushed to Ming's side, trying to reassure and cheer her up.

Before Reyna went out of sight, though, Raze jokingly stated, "At this point, Reyna might just leave Ming for dead on the battlefield." Earning a very swift nudge from Sova, indicating that now was not the time.

From that point on, Ming tried not to bother the empress as much, other than asking if she needed a heal after dangerous missions, to which the former always declined with a scoff.

Ming believed that the empress just hated her because of Sage's death, so she quietly resented Sage for giving her such a hard time here in the protocol. She would never admit it out loud, for god knows what Reyna would've done to her. Although she missed Sage, it was difficult for her to get along with the one she wanted to get approval from the most.

Moments before she was enlisted into the protocol a few weeks after the accident, she was told that Sage had a very dedicated and caring lover, and that it may have been hard for her to come around due to what had happened. Ming had never expected the lover to be someone whom would be so rough, hard-headed, and someone who she used to like.
