"Congratulations babyyyy". My mama spoke in a singing tone as the graduation ceremony just ended. "Thank you mama". I replied giving her a big hug, my family had all congratulated me and I had gotten plenty of gifts from everybody.
Honestly graduating college was a different feeling and it was a huge step for me and I couldn't be more proud of myself. Happiness was definitely an understatement for me.
"open that". My dad told me as I opened it seeing money, my mama and dad always gave me money but this seems like the post they ever gave me.
"It's 10k". He responded as my eyes widen, "you ain't have to- nah you deserved it.. you really deserve more than that but you're a successful black man already. Embrace that". He spoke making me smile as he hugged me.
"alright so we know you probably wanna celebrate with your friends.. so we're throwing you something in Tallahassee at grandmas this weekend and you can get everything then". My mom spoke towards me as I nodded.
"alright". I spoke hugging them as I found my way around. "Well, well , well". My coach stated as she hugged me.
"Ima miss you , I enjoyed watching you grow as a player and a man". She spoke, "Ima miss you too. and I can't thank you enough for shaping me into the man I am today". I told her.
"I'll never forget about you , I'll make sure to text you and tell you about everything". I added, "please do, I'd appreciate that, And also I want an invite to you and naomii wedding". She added as I laughed.
"I got you". I told her as I saw my academic advisor, "Aww look at youu". She cheesed hugging me
"I just wanted to stop by and say thanks for everything, between you and my coach I don't know who's helped me the most over the last four years". I chuckled as he handed me a gift.
"you're really gonna be missed Kyrie, you definitely left your mark here at Soutbern. I'm happy for you and extremely proud of who you are today now you gotta do what you gotta do". She smiled after talking to the major people that I knew I needed to speak to I made my way to my friends.
"I'm ready to go". Cammie fussed, "me too it's hot as hell". Kasey added.
"No way yo father bought us Rolex's dude". Qua spoke, "nigga what"? I asked confused as he showed me the box. "Well shit". I replied, "that nigga was dead ass". I added laughing shaking my head.
"he got us some self care stuff, it was real cute yo daddy goated". Cammie spoke.
"this nigga think he bill gates foreal". I chuckled making them laugh as we seen Kaydence aunt although we hadn't seen kaydence since the ceremony ended.
