Avalon usually felt pride in the fact that she was a hard-core fan of Harry Potter and remembered every details in it. But now when she really needed to remember every detail to write them in her journal, the memories were starting to fog up. The main problem wasn't in remembering the events, but the when did that events happened. That and the other minute details. She guess no matter how much she loved the books, it was not possible for her to remember every single thing.

On the other hand, the Castle was in uproar because of the recent incident relating to Sirius Black. She wondered what would their reactions would be if they found out that Sirius Black wasn't a mad criminal they feared so much, but instead just a normal person who just had lost too much. Forget killing thirteen muggles, she doubted he had ever killed a person.

Melora had been very happy when Sir Cadogan had been fired, and was replaced back by Fat Lady, who had been expertly restored and was given the protection of a bunch of surly security trolls. When Avalon first saw these trolls, her mouth had fell open and her eyes went wide from awe. This was her first time seeing trolls in real life.

"Tell me again, Hermione, how did you fight the troll in your first year?" Avalon asked curiously, even though she knew the exact answer of it. "I mean, they're so big and terrifying. How did just a bunch of three kids survive a troll?"

"We were just . . . lucky." said Hermione, pausing from writing her Arithmancy homework.

"I think you three have got all the luck in the world." said Melora, her eyes focused on the Transfiguration book in front of her.

"And all the bad luck too." joked Avalon, twirling the quill in her finger. She was simply lounging in her chair, her Charms homework left forgotten in front of her.

Hermione cracked a smile. "I guess so."

At the same moment, Ginny appeared at their table holding a couple of books in her arms.

"Hello everyone." she said, as she put her books down down on the table with a thud and sat down beside Hermione.

"Hey, Ginny." Avalon said brightly.

"Are you going to read all of these at once?" asked Melora raising her eyebrows, pointing toward the heap of books Ginny had brought with her.

"Of course not." answered Ginny. "But it's my habit to have all the books with me when I study. Anyway," she turned to Hermione. "I need your help." she opened her Transfiguration book and pushed it toward Hermione. "I just can't seem to understand this topic."

"Oh, well, it's quite easy . . ." and Hermione started explaining whatever Ginny couldn't understand. Avalon noticed that Hermione was quite at explaining complex things and she would make a great teacher. But she knew Hermione wasn't going to become a teacher, at least not if Harry's son mess up the timeline.

Seeing Melora, Hermione and Ginny so engrossed in their books, Avalon felt that maybe she should try to complete her homework too. She sighed, and dipped her quill in the ink before resuming to write.

Even though Professor McGonagall had forbidden everyone from telling Neville the password to their common room, Avalon always told him the password, until the day McGonagall caught her doing the act.

"Miss Beaumont, have I not forbidden everyone from telling Mr. Longbottom the password to enter the Gryffindor tower?" said McGonagall sharply, her face drawn into a thin line. Neville kept his head down in shame and fear.

"Yes, but --"

"Then are you exceptional from my orders?"

"No, but --"
