Avalon was currently waiting behind the suit of armour in the entrance hall for quite some time, her eyes searching for a certain Ravenclaw girl. She had told the others to go to the Great Hall for breakfast without her, and that she'll come in a few minutes. Just then she saw a group of Ravenclaw girls descending down the marble staircase, and in the middle was Cho.
She quickly ran her hand to her hair to make sure they were alright, and slowly pulled herself out of the shadows of the suit of armour. She kneeled down on the floor, and pretended to tie her shoelace as she waited for Cho to catch up to her.
The footsteps came near her, and she stood up again, straightening her skirt. Her green eyes looked at Cho who was just passing her.
"Cho, hi!" said Avalon, faking her surprise.
Cho looked at her smiled. Her friends stopped along with her.
"Hi, Avalon." said Cho brightly.
"What a coincidence we meet here." she said, even though she had purposefully set up this meeting.
"We go to the same school." said one of Ravenclaw girl. Avalon's face almost sneered at her, but she quickly composed her expression and smiled.
"Sorry about the last time." said Cho, a little sheepishly. "I didn't know that the lavatory was -- er, taken."
"It was a misunderstanding." said Avalon quickly. "Fred and I aren't together."
"Then what were you two doing in the bathroom if you aren't together?" said the girl who was saw her and Fred last time. The girl smiled slyly. "Oh, I guess you aren't together officially yet."
The other girls giggled. Avalon whished for them to disappear from here completely. Why couldn't they just leave her and Cho alone?
"Shh!" Cho threw them a look, and looked at her. "Anyway, you were right. About the game. Ireland won but Krum got the snitch."
Avalon grinned. "Told you, didn't I? How much money did you win from betting?"
"I didn't bet. It's not really my thing." said Cho, before checking her watch. "I guess I'll see you later."
Avalon nodded and watched them disappear into the Great Hall. She sighed, and wondered whether a day would come when Cho would see her in another way. She signed again.
"That's quite a long sigh." said a voice over her shoulder.
She turned around and saw Fred leaning against the wall casually.
"Why do you always have to sneak up on me?" she said, giving him an annoyed look.
"I wasn't." He said. "I was waiting for you to finish your conversation with that Cho girl. I could have interrupted, but I didn't because I know you like her. Aren't I a gentlemen?" he winked.
"Yes, what a fine gentlemen." Avalon muttered, before narrowing her eyes at him. "Why were you waiting for me?"
"Lee and Melora. What are we going to do with them?" He said, pushing himself off the wall, and stared at her.
"We are going to keep them away from each other as long as we can." said Avalon. "Didn't I tell you this yesterday?"
"But if we're doing this, we can't let others find out about them. Otherwise Lee and Melora will find out that we know and our plan will fail." said Fred, ignoring her question.
Avalon nodded, and at the same moment Avalon's stomach grumbled loudly.
"You were waiting for her without having any breakfast?" said Fred, raising his eyebrows.
