16. Sports Festival Finale!

Y/N took a few deep breaths before running onto the pitch. The crowd had cheered loud for the last battle, but they again quietened down as he entered.

"It's the semi finals." Y/N said to himself as he walked on. "Two more opponents, then I win."

The boy had drained a single marble, saving half of the pouch for the final battle. No matter who it would be, he would need huge amounts of energy to beat them.

Todoroki was already waiting on the other side of the arena, glaring at Y/N with his mismatched eyes.

Present Mic broke the audience's silence. "It's the semi finals! Shoto Todoroki, the dual quirk user, against the underdog, Y/N!"

"Fight!"

As soon as the battle started, Y/N closed the distance with speed, turning translucent to go straight through the blasts Todoroki threw at him.

He watched the other boy's eyes tighten. I have to turn out of this mode to fight, and he'll nail me.

Todoroki slammed his hands onto the floor, a thin sheet of ice spreading out to cover his half of the arena.

Y/N got a few metres away, turning solid to land a punch. He fell off balance, landing on the ground as he realised his feet were trapped in the ice.

Todoroki lunged at him to land a punch, and Y/N teleported out onto one of the other boy's ice spikes.

He tried jumping off the spike to land a flying punch, smiling grimly when his opponent turned to meet him, and teleported mid air, landing behind Todoroki and slamming his fist into the boy's back.

Both the boys staggered, Y/N landing off balance on the ice, and Todoroki threw off a blast that caught Y/N by surprise, blowing him clean off his feet and onto the floor.

Y/N groaned, his eyes widening as Todoroki was on him again, trying to land a punch on his face.

He teleported out behind, his image flickering from location to location so that his opponent would have no chance of hitting him.

Y/N was trying to come up with a plan while he caught his breath. He knew the dual-quirk user had his limits, but Y/N had a huge supply of energy at his disposal.

Y/N reappeared in front of Todoroki, turning translucent to phase through a roundhouse kick the boy threw at him. He turned solid, grabbed the midair leg and pulled the half and half boy off balance.

Todoroki just blasted some ice behind him to catch his fall, and used his ice to push his leg into Y/N's chest.

Still holding the other boy's leg, Y/N stumbled back, trying to let go of the limb as he figured it wouldn't help him.

He looked down in shock, watching a sheet of ice grow out from where his hands touched Todoroki's leg, coating the front of his body and growing in thickness.

He teleported away, and tensed his arms, breaking the ice off his chest. The crystals fell to the ground, and Y/N had an idea.

Y/N appeared next to one of the huge ice crystals Todoroki had made earlier on, and pressed his hands on its cold surface, pushing as much energy as possible into it.

Todoroki quickly came at him again, launching blast after blast as Y/N dodged, teleporting behind Todoroki to try and bring the boy to his knees.

The dual-quirk user anticipated it, spinning round and hitting Y/N square in the face with a punch.

Y/N's head snapped back, blood flying from his lip as he was knocked backwards. He moaned in pain as he felt something click in his nose.

Todoroki appeared in front of Y/N, and placed his hands on Y/N's chest, freezing it and encasing the h/c boy in a cocoon of ice.
