12) A boring summer.

(Sohail's POV)

I woke to the dots of sunshine darting across my room through the lace of my curtains..

The aroma of honey and toasted bread was making its way through my room from the kitchen..

Mum was making breakfast..

As I got up from the bed and made my way to the bathroom to brush my teeth , I looked at myself in the mirror..

And remembered how horrid my life was.

I had not got any reply from Sasha yet , which made me feel terribly bad..

I had to tolerate this feeling the rest of this boring summer because I was pretty confident that if she hadn't replied yet , I might as well not expect any mails from her in the coming months..

I had to talk to her in school itself..

And there were no two ways about it..

Video gaming took up about one-fourth of the day...

Eating , sleeping and other life processes about half of the day..

The rest of the the day was spent in playing outdoors or meeting up with Jeet..

I got to meet Jeet the following day..and he acted a little weird..like something was wrong..

I couldn't guess what it was though..

"Hey bro! Watsup?" I said..

"Nothing much , really.." He said in a monotone..

It was then I that I knew that something was bothering him..

Usually he told me all my problems and as he was not trying to discuss it with me now , 

I decided to leave it alone..

"How was your entrance?" I asked , to hopefully change his mood..

He seemed a little more tense when I asked him this!

So this was what which was bothering him!

Ha! I'm a genius!

"Fine..."

I put my arm around him to comfort him assuming that his unsatisfactory performance in the entrance was bothering my best pal..

We talked a little and then he had to go..

It was almost like he was not comfortable with me..

Anyway , I just left it there and thought that it would all cool down with time...

But I was wrong...

He always seemed a little distant from me..

And I figured it was not the screening test that was bothering him..

Because a small thing like that would just slip from his brain within a few days..

Sasha's POV -

A very boring summer..

No place to go , no work to do...

I was the kind of gal who always needed some work in my hands..

I had to be kept busy or you don't meddle with my nerves!

Sohail kept mailing me , very indignant to get a reply from me..

What did he think , that the sec he gets bored with Shona , I 'll fall on his feet?

You're wrong , boy!

Cause I would never do that for the world..

The only thing to look forward to was the results of my entrance test..

I had done pretty well and I was sure that I was getting rid of that idiotic school!

My results came the following week!

I had passed the test with a perfect 'a' and was selected!

Yay!

All that studying paid off!

And I was leaving Oxford!

I felt so relieved and overjoyed..

The rest of my day was spent in partying!

And the rest of the summer was spent in baking classes!

In the sense , teaching baking to small kids!

Though my mum was the one conducting it , I had my hand at teaching them decoration of cupcakes via piping!

It was a really good experience teaching little kids how to ice their cupcakes and put little sugar flowers on them to make them look even more appetising!

The baking sessions were over by one week from the day my school started..

So that's how my summer was spent!
