7) The exciting stay!

Basketball..

Something that I enjoy playing at any time of the day!

I had just finished playing basketball with my friends and was returning home..

In this journey , a lot of thoughts cross my mind!

Anything that happened on that day etc etc..

Today , I was thinking about Sohail..

I don't know why!

This wasn't the topic that usually crosses my mind!

Actually , nowadays I have noticed myself to be thinking more about him..

I guess simply because of his liking towards me!

I was a normal girl..

A little dumb in some ways and clever in others..

And he was popular!

Know-it-all!

Cute!

Wait.

Did I just call him 'cute'?!

I really must be out of my mind!

As I pushed the door ajar , I could feel a sense of seriousness creeping into me..

My parents were having a heated discussion about something!

Something to do about my old house in Delhi...

I just changed , freshened up and sat right at the table , ready for dinner!

When my mum announced " Your father and I will be leaving for Delhi the day after tomorrow to see some rental issues of our flat in Delhi..We have decided that you shall stay in Shashi aunty's ( Sohail's mum ) place until we come back.."

"Okay mum , but have you talked to her?"

"Actually she was the one who suggested me to leave you at her place!"

"I see..."

Whoa!

Stay in his house during these hols!

It's gonna be fun!

Two Days later -  

"Make sure you haven't forgotten anything!"

"Nothing mum! Can we go now?"

"Are you sure?"

"Mum!"

"Okay , okay! Lets go!!"

It was around 6 and my parents' flight didn't leave until 9:30 !

They were still left with a little bit of packing , so wanted to do away with me as soon as possible!

Good riddance for them and me as well! 

We reached the place half an hour later and I took out all my stuff , my hands and legs shivering!

I still don't know why..
It could be excitement..or nervousness...

But I really wasn't bothered about that..

All I knew was , I was gonna stay with my best buddie and we were gonna have enormous amounts of fun!

"Hi sweetie!" his mum greeted me!

That was typical her.
For some reason , she liked me a lot!
Sohail was wearing jeans and a black shirt..
He looked hot in that!
What hell is wrong with me?!

I soon bade to mum and dad and was dragging my luggage to his room..

"Oh , my!
Looks like you've brought a week's luggage!" he said mocking me!
"Shut Up!" 
and then he slapped my shoulder!
Can't he stay one minute without abusing me? 
How much he loves messing with me!
And I with him!

So there I was..
Laughing and having the time of my life!
Hell!
This is gonna be fun!

Next Morning :- (Sohail's POV)


For my amazing plan to work , I needed everybody out of the house!

Mum and dad had gone for a walk..
but what about Sohan? (sohail's lil' brother)

"Sohan , listen to me carefully..and do as I say!"
I told him the entire plan..

"Hey wake up!!"I was shaking her into consciousness!
"What the hell-
 "Quake tremors have been felt in Bangalore! Mum and dad have gone to warn the neighbours!
Let's go!"

She was wide awake now!

She took Sohan's and my hand and we rushed down the stairs!

I could see so much tension and anxiety on her face..

She looked beautiful that way..

We were soon at the ground level and out of breath!

"Where is everybody?!" she asked doubting me.

Our plan couldn't carry forward cause' me and Sohan just burst out laughing!

She was so worried and panicked!

"This was all a bloody joke?"she hurled at me with a serious tone..

I really didn't  expect this kind of reaction..
I just nodded at her..
But she didn't leave it there..

"It's not even funny!
Don't ever crack jokes relating to loss of life or property!"

Boy..she's got anger..
and maturity..
That's the girl I love , all right !

"I am sorry Sash!
no jokes like this ever again , I promise.."

"Yeah , okay.."

"You still mad at me?"I put my hand around her shoulder and asked her softly..

"Nah..but dont do this again.."

"Whatever you say! Want a tour of this apartment?
Ya know , in case the  building comes crashing down and you're looking for something.."

"Then , why not?"

"Okay..
This here is 'A' block , that one 'B' and goes on till 'F'.."I led her through the way..
She was always holding Sohan's hand..
She hand an extreme liking for little kids..cause' she didn't have any siblings of her own..
Her little one year old cousin brother is so pampered by her , that he wakes up in the morning and starts looking for his dear sis to see her beautiful morning smile..

I showed her the gym , parking lot , swimming pool , playing area and the courts..

What else could I show her?

The view from the top! 

I grabbed her hand and literally dragged her up the stairs!
with her continuous "Where are you taking me?"

Poor Sohan..
He was tired of us talking only to each other and went home! 

We were soon there (the building had only 7 storeys) and the view was like always , impressive..
"Not as a good view you get from your 20-floored building , but it's something , ya?"

"Nothing like that..In case you've forgotten , I live on the second floor..
so i shouldn't be talking!"she said , giggling.. 

I don't know how , but this force was pulling me to her..

I went real close to her and put my hand round her waist..

She didn't even hesitate!

I leant forward and gave her a gentle kiss on her cheek..

After all , we were such good friends and she could be my future girlfriend..

She just smiled!

I thought she would be reluctant..

We just stared at the scenery when she started feeling hungry..

We held hands and climbed down the stairs..

We had our breakfast and started working on our holiday homeworks!

Doing anything along with her is fun!

I had to ask her again..I love her so much..

"I like you Sash, ya know that right?"

"Yeah..."she just smiled..

and I just frowned...

Was something wrong in me?

Why didn't she like me?

"But I think we were originally besties and it should remain like that..."
came straight outta her mouth..

"But why?
I mean , I know you like me too!
Why can't you admit it?!"
I slammed my book down and just left the room..

Great , I just fought with her!

But it's pissing off!

I can't do this anymore!

Like her and be her best friend!

I am fed up!

I hope she got the message..

Sasha's Pov :-

Woah...

That wasn't like him!

He's really pissed with me..

But I should have known..

I took him for granted..

Cause' I think I like him too..

I don't think I've ever had so much fun with a guy..

and fighting with him makes me feel so bad..

But , right now , I'll keep my mouth shut..

I'll tell him after the hols and all will be fine..

Yeah..Thats what I am gonna do..

And then , we'll be so happy together..

I hope he's not too angry with me..

It was dinnertime and his mum came inside..

"Dinner , Sasha?"

I had cried a little bit..thinking about this..

and she saw my tears..

"Hey , what's wrong sweetie?"

"Nothing auntie.."

"You know , you're like my daughter..so tell me..
If it's because of that mad son of mine , you shouldn' be crying..
He's a little immature!"

"Nothing of that sort.."and I gave her a hug...

She was so nice and I liked her a lot..

I washed up and sat on the table..

Sohail refused to look at me..

He was just gulping down food as fast as he could and just left the table..

What if I didn't like him?

I would feel bad if he ignored me like this!

What if I just wanted us to be friends?

He should learn to not always get what he wants..

The rest of my stay at his house was me alone all the time..

He would just come , sit with me to pretend to his mum that everything's cool..

The rest of the day passed by and it was time to go..

I packed all my stuff and washed up!

Mum and dad , both came to pick me up the following evening..

His mum , as usual , hugged me tight!

Sohail , of course , just a simple bye..
