Ready for part 2?? Speed writing this one I'm telling y'all! (But no less quality I can assure you! Just speeeeeed!)
Oke let's go!!

It pains us all so badly... so why do they want to kick us so hard while we're still down? Because they know they won't lose that way?
Every morning came a loud 'Clang' the terrifying sound on a baton hitting the metal railing outside each cell. This meant, 'Get up, now.'
They had given us all some sort of prison uniform, a grey skirt with a dimly green tunic, making us look as miserable as they treat us.
And so each day went until the week was over.. wake up rudely, get hauled out rudely into the courtyard, get forced to eat, then go to bed.

At the day of our release, they just gave us our clothing and hauled us off to the exit, nothing else...
Again, Edith was by my side as we were released. Outside, several carriages were waiting, as well as who I can assume to be the women's husbands.
A subtle pain hit me when I thought of Edith, as she walked up to a man standing on the sidewalk, giving him a loving hug.
I had not yet thought of it like that, but she had shown me nothing but knowledge and care, both of which helped me attach to her.. more than I would've maybe liked to admit.
Then they were off...

My next run in with Edith happened more dangerously, confidentially at the speech of the Suffragette herself, Lady Pankhurst.
I was walking along with a few women I had met in prison, keeping to them due to the familiarity, then I saw her.
"Oh y/n, good, you're here."
She said it as if she was relieved, as if I wouldn't come... it saddened me, though excited me to see her so joyful about my presence.
"We must hurry. It'll be the first time she's appeared for months. They'll be on alert to arrest her."
We kept up a quick pace on our way to the speech, jogging up stairs to save seconds.
Hundreds of women had collected, evidently to see her speak. And there she was, being ushered into a carriage by the other women to make sure of her safety.
The audience was collecting, hundreds, maybe even thousands of women around us.. Edith gave me a smile as the applause rose up.
Lady Pankhurst, the leader of this 'operation' stood tall on a balcony over the women. Claps unified and became a glorious sound, and the Lady herself gave a big smile at her warriors.
"My friends, in spite of his majesty's government, I am here tonight."
Another roar of applause broke loose, giving her the cheer she deserved for fighting.
"I know the sacrifice you have made to be here. Many of you, I know, are estranged from the lives you once had. Yet, I feel your spirit tonight. For 50 years, we have labored peacefully to secure the vote for women. We've been ridiculed, battered and ignored."
~'YES!'
The crowd roared again.
"Now we have realized that deeds and sacrifices must be the order of the day! We are fighting for a time in which every little girl born into the world will have an equal chance with her brothers. Never underestimate the power we women have to define our own destinies."
~ 'YEEES!'
It roared again, louder and louder.
"We do not want to be lawbreakers. We want to be lawmakers. Be militant, each of you in your own way. Those of you who can break windows, break them! Those of you who can further attack the sacred idol of property, do so. We have been left with no alternative, but to defy this government. If we must go to prison to obtain the vote, let it be the windows of the government, not the bodies of women which shall be broken...-"
