I've kind of missed our dear little Princess and an idea came to mind.

This is a p2 to the previous short story (All at once), let's get into it!

I used to hate the taste of this expensive champagne, but I've grown to quite like it. It hit me that once I taste this bitter sweet liquid, her voice soon followed and intruded my senses.

My parents seemed to not have noticed this change in my behavior, though they must've been less annoyed when I wasn't in their way. My mother was currently talking to one of the members of the royal family, Charles I believe.

There had been a lot of speculations about his and Princess Diana's relationship lately, guess my mother was a typical citizen.. The conversation consisted of the usual, money, gossip, anything that will make her somebody.

Suddenly, I feel a presence near me to the left, making my eyes move from my mother and that poor young gentleman. The woman who approached me really surprised me by doing so, for from what I'd heard, she wasn't even supposed to be participating in these things anymore, or so she told the press.

"Your royal highness, pleasure to be acquainted."

The woman was princess Anne, second child of the queen herself. She seemed almost as interested in these party things as I was, if not less.

"Greetings, Ms. Thatcher.. Do tell, how is the family doing? I believe that is your mother with my brother, is it not?"

I took another sip of the champagne before answering, buying me a few seconds to think of my answer. She didn't seem to ask the question in a rude way, though, she was not entirely happy either..

"Your eyes are not deceiving you, yes, and she looks like she's having a jolly time. How about yourself? Everything going well?"

She seemed to mirror my move with the glass, attempting to gain even the tiniest amount of time for a calculated answer. A nod started her answer before she went to speak.

"It's been well, I've mostly taken care of my horses out at the Moat House, and mother visited quite recently."

There was a slight silence as we both looked into the glass for some awkwardness release, the chatter around us seeming almost nonexistent. I looked back to my mother for a second who was still clinging on slightly to Charles on that two seat couch, that had now become a three seat.

My mother's eyes caught mine and for a split second stuck to the royal beside me. There was something in those eyes, a mixed feeling of either hope or fear. Whatever it was, I didn't have time to look for long into, for Anne began speaking again.

"Would you mind following me to another room? I've got a rather secretive conversation in mind."

She seemed a bit tense, yet it was only clear to those who stood near her, for anyone in the conversation-circle it would've been unnoticeable.

"Of course, your highness, lead the way."

In mere seconds, we walked away from the big room filled with music and chatter, my mother's eyes most likely following where me and the royal were going. I recognized the hallways, but in actuality... they all look the same.

Finally, we get to a room, just like the one I had once hidden from the Queen and Margaret outside, the furniture exactly the same. The doors closed soundly behind us, letting us know exactly how quiet it was in here.

The glasses got placed on a small table and Anne sat down in one of the couches in the room, gesturing me to sit in the one opposite her. By silent request, I sat down and prepared myself for whatever she had to tell me. My nerves began to show as my heart-rate quickened.
