Kitt Rhudy was new to Denver, and she already hated every little bit of the dusty old town. She had left everything she had ever known behind, and for what? So her parents could get a new start? What a fucking joke. They wouldn't ever change. Same shit, different town. They would always be the same alcoholic and the same crazy bitch. She hated it, loathed it. She sighed as she looked around her bare room, getting more and more frustrated every second that she stayed in the house. She was no where near done unpacking, but if she stayed in the house she was going to go mental.

She paused to look at her appearance, examining her ripped bell bottoms and her olive green tank top that made her strawberry blonde hair look even brighter. She knew she wasn't exactly a stunner, not with the scars littering her body, but she thought she looked pretty hot for once. She walked out of her room, pausing to put on a pair of converse before she walked out of the house, not even bothering to tell her parents where she was going. There wasn't a point. They wouldn't even notice.

She wandered around the small town, taking her time in learning the turns and twists of the roads she now called her home. She finally stumbled upon the small corner store. The Grab 'N Go. She could tell that this is where most of the town kids hung out on the weekends, judging by how many kids were hanging out outside of the store. She felt the eyes of some of the local kids on her, but she ignored it. She was the new kid in town, they were probably just curious. She went inside the small store and looked around. It was pretty quiet inside the store, the cashier was reading a magazine up front and not really paying attention while she could hear the sound of a pinball machine being played in the corner. She glanced over and saw the player was a tall, curly haired blonde who seemed extremely focused on his game. She was walked to drink section, immediately grabbing a glass coke and headed up to the counter, placing down the beverage.

"Anything else for you?" The cashier asked, putting her magazine to the side as she eyed Kitt, trying to figure out if this girl was trouble or not. She didn't need anymore trouble in the store. Kitt shook her head no, busy looking out the window, watching the kids out there. She noticed a few boys eagerly watching what was going to happen through the window and furrowed her brows, confused at what they found so entertaining when she felt a hand grab her ass. Oh. Fuck. No. She quickly grabbed the glass bottle from the counter and spun around, smacking her assaulter across the face with the bottle, knocking him to the ground. She broke the bottle on the counter, staring at the boy on the ground with rage in her eyes. She had never seen him before, she would know if she had. He had a mess of black curls on his head and shit brown eyes to match his awful personality.

The sound of the glass breaking had caught pinball boys attention as he quickly glanced over his shoulder to see what was going on before turning back to his game. She stepped towards the boy, kneeling down beside him and snatching him up by his shirt. She was fucking pissed.

"You ever fucking touch me again, and I'll slit your fucking throat in front of everyone in this bitch, you got it?" She hissed at him, shaking him a little as she spoke. She waited until he nodded before dropping him back to the ground. She spat on him, showing her disgust for his actions before she nodded towards the door with her head. She turned around and slapped a five dollar bill on the counter to pay for her drink while the boy practically ran out of the door. He had definitely shit his pants. She huffed at the thought and rolled her eyes as she turned to go get another coke, as hers had been ruined.

As she was turning to get her beverage, she heard pinball boy speak up. "Can you keep your bitchin' down? I'm playin a game over here." That bastard. He didn't even turn around to talk to her either. The fucking disrespect. She narrowed her eyes at him and in return threw what remained of the original drink at the wall in front of him, smirking as he jumped at the glass shattering on the wall. He turned to look at her, disbelief on his features. No one had ever stood up to him like that. And it pissed him off. He watched her go and get her drink before walking out of the store, still wondering if he should beat her ass or not. He watched her walk away through the window, wondering if he had ever even seen her before.

Kitt continued to walk away from the store, drinking her coke as she walked. Great first impression, huh? Just threatened a kid, threw a glass at another. Couldn't do much better than that, huh? She was lost in her thoughts, trying to decide if she was proud of herself for her actions, or if she was utterly horrified with how things played out. A distraction from her thoughts came in the form of a younger girl who ran up to her with a big grin on her face, one she wouldn't expect to come from anyone who had just seen what had happened. She raised an eyebrow at the girl, waiting for her to catch her breath to speak.

"That was so fucking cool! Moose had it coming! I'm Gwen Blake, by the way. What's your name?" The newly identified girl asked. Kitt blinked for a moment, trying to decide whether or not this girl was extremely brave, or just fucking stupid. As she decided the answer was probably a bit of both, she just went ahead and told her what her name was. She let Gwen walk with her, telling her how much of a shitty person Moose was and laughing at certain parts of her story. She decided that she liked this girl, and would probably let her stay around, at least for awhile. They talked for awhile, learning that while Kitt was 17, Gwen was just 15, but they went to the same school. After a couple hours of just talking, they both decided to go home as they had school tomorrow. They said their goodbyes and began to walk home.

Kitt was about 5 minutes from home when she realized that she felt someone's eyes on her. She quickly looked around, trying to find out who exactly was watching her and why. She found the source, right across the street and looking dead at her. Pinball boy.
