She listened to him beat the door of her room for hours, glaring at the door the entire time. She loathed him. She hated him with every ounce of her body. She waited until he had stopped to get up. She knew he was still on the outside of the door, but he was probably sleeping now. Fucking alcoholic. She scoffed as she moved to change into something to sleep in. She quietly moved to go to bed, ready to be done with the day. She glanced at her alarm clock that read 12:37 AM. She groaned softly, throwing the cover over her face and quickly fell asleep.

Kitt groaned as her alarm started blaring, waking her up from what felt was the shortest nap ever. She didn't understand why she was more tired now than when she went to bed. She hit the top of the annoyingly loud clock and sat up. She glanced under the door to see if she could see the shadow of her father, but he was gone. She sighed in relief and got up, headed to go take a shower. She walked to her closet, picking out a simple pair of flared jeans and a cropped tank top. She walked over to her bathroom and set down her clothing before hopping into the shower. She took her time, thinking over what had happened the night before, how much hatred she had for her father. It was really beginning to get to her. Slowly driving her wild. She finished getting ready quickly, wanting out of the house as fast as possible.

She got dressed, putting her hair up in a half up, half down look once more and applied her mascara before heading down the stairs. She was extremely quiet on her way down the stairs, making sure she made no noise so she wouldn't catch her parents attention. She slowly made her way to the exit, sighing in relief the moment she made it out the door. She shook her head, in disbelief of her situation. What teen has to hide from her parents to leave for school? She turned to make her way down the sidewalk when she saw that at the end of the walk way, standing there was Vance Hopper. She smirked at the sight of him waiting for her. Guess she wasn't too weird then. She walked up to him, raising a brow.

"Walking me to school huh? You're going to have people talking," she stated, pointing out that he may not want to walk with her. She knew how this school was. Everyone gossiped about the stupidest stuff, especially where Vance was involved. He shook his head with a smirk on his face, relieved that nothing had happened last night. He really came early just to check on her, wanted to make sure her old man hadn't snapped on her. He playfully flicked her forehead and turned to walk towards the school.

"So what? They're going to talk anyways, you've attracted a lot of attention here, Bottle Bitch," he teased, looking down at the petite redhead. Which he wasn't lying. She had a lot of people talking, and for multiple reasons. She obviously didn't know how to lay low, if rumors were anything to go by. She wasn't really subtle in any of her actions.

"Not near as much as you. You have fan clubs at this school, I swear," she snickered, rolling her eyes at him. The closer they got to the school, the more people started to see them walking together and more whispers started appearing around them. Kitt noticed this and smirked, looking up at the blonde beside her as if to say, "I told you so." He looked around and furrowed his brows, slightly annoyed that his name was in so many mouths already. It was way too early for this in his opinion. He rolled his eyes and looked back at the younger female and sighed.

"This shit gets old, really quick," he stated, rolling his eyes once more. She nodded, completely agreeing at this point. She hated the stares and the scrutinizing looks she received throughout the day. Everyone had something to talk about with her. She felt like she was part of the zoo with how they stared. It pissed her off. They walked into school, Vance even going as far as walking her to her locker before they split ways. She shook her head at him as he walked away, a small smile gracing her lips even after he walked away. She knew that he was growing on her, and quickly as well. They just clicked, and she felt like she had someone she could really talk to if she needed to. She hadn't known him long, but the more she learned about him, the more she liked having him around.

She knew he was trouble, and she knew that hanging around him meant it could end up going badly for her, but she didn't care for now. She just wanted to enjoy herself, even if it was just for a little bit. That was just life though. As she opened the door to her locker, Gwen came running up to her with a big grin on her face. She glanced at her, a smile still on her face. "You walked to school with Pinball Vance! What the fuck?" She asked, excited for her new friend. She followed Kitt as she started walking to her first class, rolling her eyes at her.

She thought about ignoring her friend, but she knew that Gwen would just ask her again the next time she saw her. "Listen, we just walked to school together. It's not a big deal," she answered, trying to appease the gossip hungry girl. She arrived at her classroom and turned to look at Gwen, "We're just friends," she stated, trying to convince the younger girl.

Gwen rolled her eyes at her and crossed her arms. "Yea right, Vance never walks to school with anyone. He's always late when he comes in. He came to school early, Kitt," she pointed out, trying to get her point across. She knew that there was no way that they were just friends. Vance had never done this for any of the other girls that he was with, but he did with her. He even made plans with her the day before. He was obsessed with her. She wondered why Kitt didn't see it when so many others did. The redhead sighed, shaking her head at her.

"I've known him for 3 days, Gwen. I'm not one of his fangirls," she snapped, quickly becoming annoyed with the conversation. She wasn't a whore. She wasn't throwing herself at him. She refused to become someone's flavor of the week. She wouldn't be the person her father said she was becoming. She wouldn't let some boy do that to her. Gwen was startled by her outburst, not having expected to touch a nerve. She didn't mean to have made it seem like she was calling her a whore. She nodded before turning to leave. Kitt watched her leave before entering the classroom with a scowl on her face. She sat through the entire lesson wondering if that was why he was trying to get closer to her, because he was trying to get in her pants. She grit her teeth and looked out the window, pissed beyond belief.
